Ya'll do know "hole" can be used differently depending on context. A hole can be an opening, or a place. A straw has 2 openings that are defined as holes. But the hollow part of the straw can be classified as a hole itself.

A hole can either be an opening to a place, or a place itself. Your definition in this context depends on your lens.

    This is ridiculous, yo.

If a ? gets shot, and the bullet goes through and through, is the doctor stitching up one hole or two holes?

    There's your answer.

You're adding a narrative that wasn't there before now.

A cylinder with a hole in will a opening and a out. It's still one hole and not two separate holes.

If a person was to get shot and the bullet passed straight through making a entry and exit point. There's still one hole in the body

So is the doctor stitching one hole or two?

The doctor is stitching up two wounds (entry wound and exit wound). There is one hole that goes all the way through him.

If I break on through to the other side, same hole. One hole.

If it were the same hole then it'd already exist.

Are your ? and mouth the same hole? They are both connected by the same track and develop at the same time.

It takes two holes to make a straw whole.

That's true, if you close one end, which if there wasn't two holes how can one end be closed, but one hole, no straw.

My kid says it's one hole. If you go into a tunnel you enter the one hole to find the end of that hole.

You'd be closing one of the openings, not the hole.

Or in your own words, you'd be closing one "end" of the hole not both.

Not sure if you even still technically have a hole at that point ?

    ? this.
