For the sake of the Ohio St., I'm glad they won't have a chance to be embarrassed in the playoffs again. Don't need sometime-y fans on here with all that GREATNESS ? . Don't make me call IOWA on y'all

It should be more about your losses than it should be about who you beat. Bama made this schedule years ago when the SEC was still tough and ? changed. As far as the losses Iowa is ? trash and the buckeyes lost to Oklahoma at home. Meanwhile Bama had one lost on the road and beat SEC teams that are on the same level or better than Iowa.

At this point the Iowa loss is the tiebreaker to keep Ohio State out and Bama in.

Not surprised that we got left out, even though we actually won our conference. Getting killed at Iowa, ? us.

But one thing this might do moving forward is make Bama stop scheduling teams like Mercer. It seems harmless, but if your marquee OOC opponent flops like the Noles did this season it could ? you.

I know the money they get paid to get smacked around by Bama is nice. But if you swapped them out for even a bad AAC school like ECU,Uconn etc. It would look better on a resume at the end.

No power 5 team should schedule an FCS team period.

And to your point...nobody was saying ? about Auburn playing Mercer when they were hot and possibly the best team in the nation lol

They just moving and manipulating the criteria to put certain teams in when the ? is simple...

GO TO THE FILM ROOM....THE FILM DONT LIE
Scheduling FCS has nothing to do with anything, it's scheduling bad schools in general, FBS or FCS. ESPN and tune-up scheduling by these ADs got y'all thinking FCS teams are trash, like they ain't still D-I and like every school is like Mercer. The top FCS schools would give a lot of Power 5 schools problems and could hold their own in a higher profile conference.

? like this is why I say the field should be expanded to, like, 16 schools. 4 schools is not a real playoff, it's a BCS play-in.

They can't control LSU and A&M and Florida state all falling way the ? off when this schedule was set up years ago. But they did control not losing to any of those teams which are better teams than Iowa. Ohio State could control not losing to ? ass Iowa and they took an L.

This is Patrick's third arrest. According to the school's student-athlete handbook, a player will be dismissed from the team following a third marijuana-related incident.

LSU ranked in the top 15 and might finish in the top 10 after the year.

That's lame. You rewarded Bama for not having to play a conference championship game

Eh, precedence was already set (from last year).

Nah the sole reason college football is so great is that every game could be make or break weather it is the Iron Bowl or a ? ass cake walk vs Iowa that your team blows like Ohio state. I don't even think it should be 6 teams. You need the controversy and tight margins of only picking 4 teams.

Not saying the NFL should copy the final 4 format because it is fine. But a 4 team playoff in any pro sport would add so much more meaning to the regular season. Football fans are hypocritical as ? . They are sick of participation trophies in sports and don't want football to be tough. But then their team gets boxed out of this playoff and they start ? about how the playoff needed to be expanded.

The only reason any fanbase should ? is if they are undefeated in a power 5 conference and they don't get in. Other than that if you have 2 losses or even 1 loss you shouldn't have an automatic bid. Strive for perfection or don't ? .

Nobody's perfect, though, and apparently perfection doesn't mean anything when you look at UCF and how they didn't get anywhere close to the playoff even though they went undefeated. A 4-team playoff is just a finessed BCS system, ? is wack. If you get a real playoff system then you have to settle all of that speculation ? on the field. Ain't nothing participating trophy about beating the best in a postseason tournament to claim a national championship, and if you get smashed, then at least you tried.

Speed kills, the Big 10 of all conferences should know. Miami got at them off raw talent that year even though the underachieved like a ? under Shannon.

Anything would be better than 4. I personally would like 12, with the top 4 seeds getting a bye.

That would give schools outside of the P5 that get no love a chance to prove themselves.
