Also odd that in this "feminist" culture a woman go dragged through the coals; to the point of being driven to suicide, just for expressing control over her own body and who she chooses to share it with. The hypocrisy knows no bounds. Too much estrogen in the air. Not enough rationality.

That point right there is what I intended to get to but I fell asleep and i got bogged into the "da IC is homophobic" rhetoric.

Another point: sex workers are the most vulnerable group of women because people (inc. Feminists) tend to dehumanize them. They're judged based on what they do for a living instead of who they are as human beings.

Also mental illness and drug abuse is rampant in porn stars and strippers.

Your thread title is what threw people off. If that's the point you wanted to convey then you did a bad job with the title

I pulled a Buzzfeed "click bait" title. ? ain't coming in here to talk about the rights and mental illmess of sex workers.

But if the IC loves anything its porn stars; outrage mobs; da ? ; and feminists. This has all the above.

There's definitely a lot more thin skinned people nowadays than any other era that I could ever recall. Yeah. At the same time there are also a lot of people who lose track of the fact that there are a lot of thin skinned people around in this world today. So the mature option is to always thread lightly.

The minute she caught feelings they should've dropped it and moved on. Yet they kept egging on a mentally & emotionally vulnerable person and many of them knew it. There's an equal amount of selfishness and maliciousness in the world today to compliment the thin skins. It's sad all the way around. This is us in century 21.

That whole industry is a cesspool and there was no reason she could have made public to justify her decision that would have pleased them, not that she had to anyway. She probably shouldn't have said anything since she has done ? ? on and off camera as well. I get where she's coming from but it's cold business she was in. Gotta watch how you move. Should have just said no to that shoot and kept it pushing. I can imagine how she felt, tho. I wouldn't want to ? with a chick that messed with a dude that been to prison.

A lot of social media is based on performance activism meaning people don't actually do ? but feel a retweet or hashtag or cussing somebody out on social media equates to actually doing something. Those are the people who tend to go the hardest with their comments.

Damn near everyone has a smart phone and if you happen to work in a profession that puts you in any form of spotlight people have access to comment on your life and majority of people simply can't handle that type of scrutiny even if you aren't a thin skinned person. That will wear on any one

    RIP to her...depression is real.

But her logic was stupid. How you keeping your body safe by doing porn? Male porn actors can't even ? normally after doing it for years...and I'm sure there's equal and opposite effects for the women that do it too. Professionally ? is not easy on the body lol.

And not wanting to shoot with a guy that did ? porn for safety is fine....but a good number of her costars probly weren't holding to that standard.

I agree this is why I said "thread lightly". I can't stand biting my tongue. My whole life for better or worse was based on "keeping it real". Sometimes it went wrong and many times it went right but I was always unapologetically me.

Until PC culture went into overload. Now I'm very careful with my words out of respect for the sensitivity of others. I bite my tongue a lot no matter how much reason I feel I may have.

Even on here sometimes and it's an anonymous forum. Simply because I recognize the emotional identity of the dialogue and many times see people here being easily triggered by things that were never intended to trigger them. Just intended to spark a dialogue.

Words clearly have to be used more responsibly now so I either watch what I say or say nothing at all.

People are just far too easily triggered now. This is definitely the era of following granny's sage advice: "nothing nice to say? say nothing at all" more often than not. For better and worse.

Well she engages in risky behavior but that doesn't mean she shouldn't still be aware of even riskier behavior.

It's just a fact that while she might contract something from "straight" men, the risk is higher in ? men.

Also, I think two more of the issues are:
1)Whether ? porn stars face the same level of testing; and 2) whether this particular man she refused to work with had done ? ? porn, which is even riskier than doing ? porn.

There are block bots now on twitter. Not only does it block the person but it blocks everyone who follows them as well. She could have used that, but its not like she was of sound mind anyway.

Also, she thought she could calm them down by adding that she was also LBGT but that wasn't enough.

I mean the irony of a bisexual woman being shamed into straight sex by ? men in astronomical.

This ? just blows my mind

It seems like this was her cut off point.
Porn is weird, as you mentioned its just everybody having sex with everybody already, but within that folks still have a line.

People always get upset when porn stars draw that line in the sand. Whether its not wanting ? , or ? , there seems to be so many hurt feelings over people having preferences and making choices.

I mean if she were wiser she wouldn't be in porn in the first place. That said, those in the industry know more than we do about it.
