Which group was more lyrical? The wu or hot boys? IMO the wu was more lyrical. Everything else is subjective as far as who makes better music, or who you can relate to.

Despite all the ? yes ODB could spit. In his later years post 95 he let his character take over and he wasn't going as hard on the mic like he did before.

This was ODB best verse from Brooklyn zoo

    I'm the one-man army, Ason
I've never been tooken out, I keep MC's lookin out
I drop science like girls be droppin babies
    Enough to make a ? go cra-a-azy
Energy buildin, takin all types of medicines
Your ass thought you were better than
Ason, I keep planets in orbit
While I be comin with teeth, bitin more ?
Enough to make ya break and shake ya ass
cause I create, rhymes good as a Tasty Cake, mix
    This style, I'm mastered in
? catchin headaches, what? What? You need aspirin?
This type of pain, you couldn't even ? with Midol
? around get sprayed with Lysol
In your face like a can of mace, baby
Is it burnin? Well ? it, now you're learnin
how, I don't even like your ? profile
    Give me my ? ? , CH-CH-BLAOW!
Not seen and heard, no one knows
You forget, ? be quiet as kept
Now you know nothin; before you knew a whole ? lot
Your ass don't wanna get shot!
A lot of MC's came to my showdown
To watch me put your ? ass lo-o-ow down
As you can go, below zero
without a doubt I've never been tooken out
    by a ? , who couldn't figure
    Yo by a ? , who couldn't figure
Yo by a ? , who couldn't figure (Brooklyn Zoo)
how to pull a ? gun trigger
I said, "Get the ? outta here!"
? wanna get too close, to the utmost
But I got stacks that'll attack any wack host
    Introducin, yo ? that ? 's name!
My hip-hop drops on your head like ra-a-ain
And when it rains it pours, cause my rhymes ?
That's why I give you more of the raw
Talent that I got will riz-ock the spot
    MC's I'll be bur-r-rnin, bur-r-rnin hot
Whoa-hoa-hoa! Let me like slow up with the flow
If I move too quick, oh, you just won't know
I'm homicidal when you enter the target
? get up, act like a pig tryin to hog ? !
So I take yo ass out quick
The mics, I've had it my ? , you can suck my ?
If you wanna step to my ? rep'
CH-CH-BLAOW! BLAOW! BLAOW! Blown to death
You got shot cause you knock knock knock
    "Who's there?" Another ? hardrock
Slackin on your mackin 'cause raw's what you lack
You wanna react? Bring it on back

GET THE ? OUTTA. I love Hot Boys, Big Tymers and etc. They're not touching WU Tang Clan. Their lyrics, creativity, substance, and teachings are way better than that Bling Bling, leave a ? stinky, and I'm going to ? the same ? that my other 3 members slide all up in here type raps.

I'm sorry, you HB stans are out of hands.

Tuesday and Thursday doesn't address any of the things you mentioned...

That is my personal favorite Wu album, my comment wasn't directed at you and it's all a matter of preference.

People using the "they just used big words and didn't make sense" excuse is who that was directed at.

My best friend (RIP) was a die-hard Cash Money fan, I had old-heads that didn't like all the Kung Fu ? Wu built on, thought they were weirdos ,all in the Northeast.

Wu had a larger impact nation-wide and world-wide.

They had skateboards, clothing, a videogame , members went onto act in actual film and Tv.

They inspired a generation of rappers and producers from Kanye West to Jedi Mind Tricks.(I ? hate JMT.)

I'm not going to knock the fact you weren't feeling the WU ,but you can give Cash Money propers without having to bring up the WU.

Yes, I think RZA is better. But I am curious to see what Mannie Fresh will contribute to GOOD Music.

Mannie has a lot of versatility he gon lace them wit some crucial beats, nd thing dat seperates Mannie from RZA was the beats he made on UNLV's uptown 4 life album dat album dropped in 96-97 nd the beats sound like they coulda came out in 2012 they aged well iont kno if u can say dat bout RZA's beats

No dis to nobody but serious question why do people argue on here about what somebody else likes. You dont gotta explain why you think something is "better" or feel any way about what anybody else likes. Im just curious if this is fun for anybody out there cause I look at music as I like what i like and the rest is not my concern.

Why do people compare wu tang and hot boys? Both were great in their own ways and had a different style that appealed to different audiences.

Most of this thread is people bashing the other group based on their own preference in musical taste and what they can relate to. A cat coming up in the south during 98-00 time will relate to juvenile and the hot boys more than he'll relate to the wu and vice versa.

    I believe Mannie will.

But Just Blaze and Kanye were profoundly influenced by RZA. And Blaze and Kanye put out a lot of great music in 2000s, and was responsible of some of Hip-Hop's great moments in the 2000s e.g. Blueprint/Takeover.

And I also remember hearing that RZA influenced Mobb Deep, so without RZA then Mobb's classics The Infamous, Hell On Earth and Murda Muzik wouldn't have sounded as crisp as it did.

Plus the original soundtrack of ? Bill was mostly produced and organized by RZA.
