Cell was the GOAT they showed an android who started out as a larvae in a tank and how he evolved into a "perfect" being and knew how to do everybody's moves because he had cells from all the Z-fighters and even frieza. Kamehameha,Instant transmissiondestructo disc,special beam cannon,death beam,regeneration,solar flare,tri-beam cannon and other ? was all at his disposal.

Dude went from sucking up people's life force until they were just skin in cities to hunting down the androids that the Z fighters could not handle and then to bbeing so strong only 1 person could be stong enough to ? him and he even held a tournament shown across the world just to display his power.

During the cell saga we seen gohan go super saiyan 1 and 2, vegeta and trunks go to a higer level than of a super saiyan, goku die,piccolo fuse with kami, krillin falling in love with a ? robot, and gohan being the absolute strongest fighter in the entire show even though it was short lived. And the cell saga ended the show before it started to fall off.

There are superior animes out now, but DBZ was the prototype, DBZ fathered those ? . (literally, nearly every manga creator in the same genre as DBZ say they were inspired by it)

The creator did Vegeta wrong tho... He knew Vegeta had the hood behind him and he made him a ? in the Brolly movie and the end of the Buu saga.

Yo as a kid I loved this show, i watched it religiously and would be glued to the screen when it came out.

A little while ago I went back and watched all the episodes of dbz from beginning to end and it made me cringe. Worst character development of all time.

It was rumored that the original direction of the show is that when Goku died the second time IT Cell to King Kai planet that he was supposed to stay dead and Goku was supposed to take the lead role.

Fans apparently didnt like that idea so Goku was put back in and Gohan went from taking lead role to being a ? ? after Mystic level.

GOhan was never supposed to be a ? ? he was supposed to be a character that had the inherent qualities of Goku but the trainign by Piccolo effectively making him how Goku was in Dragonball who was mercin ? from the Red Ribbon army left and right.

It's kinda interesting speculating the direction the show wouldve taken if Goku had not been brought back and Gohan been allowed to evolve as a character
