Jay cosign use to be the greatest, he pretty much co sign the big 3 of the south(T.I, Jeezy, Wayne), Kanye(Dame was first), Rhianna, Solo Beyonce, etc.

^^Pretty much above. Think you've got atleast 2 people in each geographic (east, west & south) that a cosign from would help, especially if you coming from the same state/city/etc.

First time I heard about Jon Connor in '09 was from a Nas cosign.
But honestly, I don't really care about most cosigns cause I usually heard about the artist and formed an opinion on them beforehand. One of the only rappers I remember not hearing of till after his cosign was J. Cole.
But in terms of success, it's Dr. Dre. I'm not sure the percentage on that one though cause cats like Bishop Lamont and Slim Da Mobster didn't exactly blow. -

Most of the YM roster owes much of their success to his cosign -
Dr.Dre is kind of the originator of the cosign. What he did back day with Snoop was probably the biggest "Cosign;" of all time. then he dulicated dat success again with Em and 50. not to mention his production on Pacs early deathrow work help solidify Pac as an Icon also. Cosigning the Game was huge for any buzz the West has after 05. we are eeing the same things happen with Kendrick Lamar.
and to a lesser extent artist like Dogg Pound, Lady of Rage, The Firm, Eve, RBX, Bishop Lamont, Glasses Malone, etc. -
but the JayZ cosign has help Rihanna, Kanye West, & Jeezy the most.

Jay-Z found Lupe mad early too, like 2002. I think he even thanked him in the BP2 booklet.
