It may not be slang, but I hate when people try to punctuate their feelings by saying "I'm a grown ass woman/man." My wife was watching one of those silly reality shows and every 5 seconds those hoes were saying that ? . If you're that damn grown, why do you feel like you need to tell everyone how grown you are.

thats ghetto.. you even lived in it or not.. ghetto is not a ATTITUDE or a SWAG. if people sense good things about you, they will assume your not from the ghetto. As if they think ghetto is EVIL. Ghetto is a place. All types of acting people come from there. You got some people that grew up way away from the hood, and people call them ghetto because of how they ACT. Thats offensive to people like myself who are really from the ghetto...
The reason why we carry it different is because we are fighting stero types of the ghetto. so we may not dress ghetto fab...that don't mean we don't come from the hood.... -
