Big loss right there. Was going to be one of our starting linebackers. Hits like a truck. Apparently, he was on thin ice before the incident though. He's a ? idiot. -

Another year, another Louisiana SPARQ National Champion.
For the second consecutive year, and the third time in four seasons, Louisiana produced the SPARQ National Champion as Destrehan athlete Kirk Merritt took home the championship.
Former Dutchtown star and Alabama starting safety Landon Collins won the SPARQ National Championship in 2011 and former Karr athlete and Texas A&M signee Devante "Speedy" Noil won the championship last season.
Merritt had the top score following the morning prelims but was third heading into the 40-yard dash, the final event of the competition, and needed to run a 4.50 in order to overtake the lead. Merritt ran a 4.60 in his first attempt but ran a 4.46 to take the lead.
Third Louisiana champ to win the SPARQ competition. Lets see if Miles can keep him in the state. -

Nick Marshall, who led Auburn to the 2014 BCS National Championship game and is considered a Heisman trophy candidate this season, was cited for marijuana possession Friday in Reynolds, Ga., according to a report by WSFA TV.
Marshall, a rising senior for the Tigers, was pulled over at 12:48 p.m. ET, Police Chief Lonnie Holder told WSFA. According to the station, Holder said Marshall was pulled over for a window tinting violation. The odor of marijuana was present, the station reported, and less than an ounce of residue was found.
Marshall was not arrested. Holder could not be reached for comment by USA TODAY Sports.
Reynolds is located between Auburn, Ala., and Marshall's hometown of Pineview, Ga.
Marshall is a returning starter for a team that came within a field goal of winning the national title in coach Gus Malzahn's first season. He is expected to be one of the best quarterbacks in the Southeastern Conference this season.
Marshall is scheduled to represent Auburn on Monday in Hoover, Ala., as part of the SEC Media Days.
