We celebrate like I finished probation, boy boy
Knotty Head with no chaser, boy boy
From the mouth I can spit out a razor, boy boy
Open up your ? like your boy Roy
In his prime
Eat food, dinnertime
Jr. Gong pass the Guinness
Handle business, black Velvet sippers
Females never bid us farewell, they with us
Cause we arrive on the scene just like a high beam
Nah Mean
Don't let us have to make the 9 scream
Nah Mean
At your racial policing regime
Nah Mean
Spiritual like a Elohim
Nah Mean
In a casino or a yacht wherever I'm seen
My brothers and sisters are never forgot
Nah Mean
Don't wanna hear another soldier drop
Nah Mean
Another dope addict get shot with the morphine
And Feds are indicting my block
Nah Mean
They're wearing red from they shoes to they top
Nah Mean
I'm wishing that all the violence would stop
Nah Mean

I always wonder why this album didn't get as much respect as it deserved. Is it because people couldn't understand patios or something? Damien spit mor fire on this project than he did on his own albums. Nas finally figured out his flow for tongue twister tracks. Great hooks, lyrics and message. I was underwhelmed by the second half of SD, HHID and Untitled but DR and LIG are personal classics for me

Another reason why he the GOAT.

NAS second verse on this song is crazy..
Top 10 verse from the GOAT..

"Leaders"
They appeal to the conscious
The Paramount
The Caesar, the monsters
The grandiose, the martyrs
The hell on earth pompous
Ellsworth Bumpy Johnsons
The Harlemites the Garveyites
Black as the credit card we swipe
Poppin' Dom tonight
For all of mine
I can see myself back at the Autobahn
Malcolm on the podium
Shells drop to linoleum
Swipe those
Place 'em on display at the Smithsonian
Next to only gems
That were left behind
By holy men
Infectious
Charisma of those who gave us direction
The anti-sexists
Resistance against oppression
Progressive thinking
Ghetto speakers
Protestors against the colored
Only section to the Jena 6 and
The Frost Nixon
The contradiction
The cross the crucifixion
The loss we took for sinning
On Esau's back inscription
That it was written
That nothing is coincidence'n
They took our leaders and they lynched them
~NAS~ -
Classic

Nas Says Working With Damian Marley Helped Him Through Personal Drama
About the divorce drama and child support
“Personal life is what it is,” he said Monday (May 17). “Everybody goes through it. Working on this record got me through it. Rockin’ with D got me through it. His whole squad, his whole team, the way he rides, his whole culture. He didn’t have to push anything on me. He didn’t have to say anything particular. Just, I know this is my brother right here. Rockin’ with him, I kept my head clear and focused on what we was doing, so it was all good.”
About how crazy it really is to work with Marleys
“It’s mind-blowing, man,” Nas added about being in the lab with the Marley family. “Anytime you see family, you’re always taken aback and see the similarities between people. When you see Stephen, you see Julian — all the brothers. It’s an amazing thing. Sometimes I think, ’What if their father was here to see all of them, how well they’re doing now?’ He’s gotta be proud — even now. It’s a beautiful thing. [My brother] Jungle definitely came through. We made it a big family affair; the Marleys and Joneses: We chillin’.”
Why He Made The Album With DaMian Marley
We tryin' to build some schools in Africa with this one, and trying to build empowerment. We're tryin' to show love and stuff with this album. So, the record's … all about really the 'hood and Africa also as well -
