I say it doesn't mean controlling her like a tyrant.
It just means not being intimidated by her. Not fearing her. You know, just acting like you can think for yourself and like she doesn't need to hold your hand for everything. And if you feel she being disrespectful, it means checking her on it. She might call you "baby", but that don't mean you act like one.
Bickering, long phone calls and text? That's a whole other thread about things I wouldn't do. -

The game got messed up when "relationships" were made to monetize. There is no right or wrong way to be in a relationship with a women speaking from a mans perspective.
