He deserves it. Consistent 20+ year career. Multiple multiplatnium classic albums. He wrote some of the dopest lines in music history. Dont forget he did tons of ghostwriting for platnium artists as well. He helped write Roc Films movies too

So Jay ain't been piggy backing other artists for songs over the years? R-Kelly? Kanye? Beyonce? Salute to the man, even tho I feel that there are other emcees out there who deserved this honor first, I'll give credit where its due and give the brother props on the accomplishment. Hopefully it opens the doors for others in the future.
