    I'd rather pay a mortgage.

How long have y'all been living in an apt?

I moved out the first time at 18 for year and came back home and then moved back out at 21 been gone ever since.

    Du hang yourself.

I don't think I'll ever move into a house because of the maintenance/$$$ that comes with it.

Having a nice condo/paying rent/whilst having all of your plumbing/light fixture/other random ? handled for "free" always seemed like a better deal to me.

no one ever really "owns" their house either.

    trust me on that :(

you want a roof over your had....you gon pay, whether rent or mortage then taxes....after you "paid" for your house, also the maintaince and up keep of a house reach the 100g over years
then you sell and start all over again

unless of cousre mommy and daddy taking care of you :)

? like paying rent? I HATE that ? . Just something I have to do for now. Throwing away my money.
    I don't mind it

when you add all the maintenance in having your own home

I'm simply not ready for it, maybe in a few more years

I don't really see the point in owning a house unless you get it for cheap. In this economy, you definitely can. And it's a decent investment if you have the means to take care of it.

Buying a home is just the mindset that we have set into us.

Besides the tax breaks provided by the new administration, having a house holds no real benefits.

Selling it on the upside is a definitive benefit. if I can buy a house for 40,000 and sell it for 300,000+ down the road, I'll take that most def

    Lol@ difference in price.

You're going to have to incorporate....
    the money on maintenance.
the time you lived in that home.
    how the neighborhood maintains itself.
and the most important part...the economy.

I dont think most of you actually know how a 300,000$ house ACTUALLY looks, compared to anything 100,000k under.

It's a dramatic experience and mostly like they won't be within the same vicinity.

300,000 isn't that much tho. Well maybe in Texas. But even in Florida, 300,000 is a regular two story house. At least it was.

The man has a job. i think Dee's issue with his situation is with the child on the way and him already being engaged there was/is no excuse for Du to be STILL at home at the present time.
