How and where?
So I guess you don't understand the value in getting something for somebody who was going to be a free agent and would probably lose for nothing (the whole reason the Nuggets were open to unloading Melo). Not to mention that there was more than one player the Hawks unloaded. Three less players they'll have to pay next year -- money better spent elsewhere.
Or do you think the Hawks were a great team as-is? Yeah, didn't think so. -

Ain't it ain't like the NFL where you can say "he'll never see that $$$". He WILL. May not be from the Hawks, but he will see that 25 mill in '15. smh -

will never happen..they will strike before that happens... mlb also would never let that happen...nfl only sport where its not guaranteed -

What's the point of buying out a Troy Murphy or any good player? Why not keep him and add depth to your team?
I mean u already paid him, right?
Dont get it.
I can see buying out a scrub or someone you dont want around your squad. Someone speak on it. -

*sigh*
You're looking at it like a NBA 2k11 GM and not a real GM.
Let me break it down.
This is the Hawks expenses in the next 5 years from the players involved in the this trade if THEY DIDN'T MAKE THE DEAL:
- Mike Bibby 6.2M
- Jordan Crawford 7.7 M
- Maurice Evans $0
- Potential 1st round pick (assuming they get a pick similar to Crawford who they traded for in the draft last year) 7.7M
TOTAL = 21.6 Million
But this is what the next 5 years look like NOW
- Kirt Hinrich $8M
- Hilton Armstrong $0
(No 1st round pick, therefore, no first round pick to sign.)
Total = 8M
DIFFERENCE = 13.6 Million.
You think a team like the Hawks (or any team for that matter) could find something to do with almost 14 mill in the next few years?
The Wizards and Hawks are on two different paths. The Wizards get more depth, veteran presence, and draft picks, the Hawks get more production and cap space. The difference between a cellar dwellar and a top 5 team in a conference.
If you don't understand that then I can do nothing for you, son.

did this ? drop the true grit line??
