    http://www.eventhubs.com/news/2011/sep/02/ultimate-marvel-vs-capcom-3-character-impressions-pax-2011/

Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 character impressions from PAX 2011 A good write up for Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 was posted by Arlen Pringle from PAX 2011. He includes some interesting notes about the various characters in the game, towards the middle of the article, and there's some new things discussed.

    Here's a snip.

Magneto: Everyone I saw was dropping Magneto combos left and right, as it looks like his long Hard Attack loop in the air is gone, and his EM Disruptor is slower than it was previous. That being said, his new move which allows him to push and pull characters anywhere on screen is extremely good. Characters like Haggar and Tron are going to have a hell of a time moving in on him.

Sentinel: Looks like he can’t do the corner hard drive loop anymore, and maaaaaaybe Hyper Sentinel Force does less damage, although it’s hard to tell.

Nemesis: Is a beast. He does a huge amount of damage, has the most health in the game, and is a threat from almost anywhere on the screen. His rocket launcher can whiff on smaller opponents, but is the perfect height to hit jumping opponents in the crotch.

A lot of his normals that look unsafe aren’t, and his reach is two-thirds of the screen with those tentacles. He is the ultimate newbie character, with easy combos and straightforward moves.

His only weakness is his limited mobility, as his dash is worthless. I won’t even call it a dash. Maybe a jaunt or mosey. Without assists or X-Factor he is a goner, but with either of those resources available, he is extremely scary.

Taskmaster: My man. He got one new move, a blockable command throw where he stabs you and then shoots you. I’m still not sure what the use of this is in combos, but you can OTG assist after. He got no nerfs, and with the air X-Factor addition I think he will move up the ranks a bit.

lol @ Nemesis being the new Sentinel. Based on this, if he was more mobile, he'd be outrageous.

Dr. Strange looks good and all, but its hard not to get the impression that he is too similar to Magneto.

Its weird that a lot of people say this because I dont see many similarities at all between them besides floating and being able to fly. I dont even think Strange will be able to air dash, according to Seth.

You mean like this version of the game? Honestly, this ? should cost like $10-15 max for anyone of bought the "beta" MvC3.

Ironfist looks like he will control similar to Ammy as far as switching between weapons (Chi for Ironfist) to link different combos.

    UMVC3 coming to PS Vita!

    http://www.eventhubs.com/news/2011/sep/13/ultimate-marvel-vs-capcom-3-confirmed-ps-vita/

UPDATE: An image was captured from a pre-showing at Sony's latest conference with the PS Vita. In it, it shows UMvC3 in the lineup of games. The title will be released December 2011.

Kotaku and IGN have reported that Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 will be making its way to handhelds as a Playstation Vita title.

Their reports come from translations of the latest issue of Famitsu magazine, which have yet to be verified through screenshots but have been making their way around gaming forums.

Online Changes in Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3

Wondering about how they’ve improved the online experience for Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

    #1 Spectator Mode added!
Up to 6 players can watch battles while 2 battle.

    system_new01.jpg

    system_new02.png

#2 Before having a match, you can check out your opponent’s information and decide whether you would like to battle against him/her or not for Player Match and Ranked Match.

#3 In the last game, it was difficult to tell who had bad network manners, but in UMVC3 skull, silver, gold icons will be shown.

    system_new04.png

#4 Looked over the retry features for matching and made matching better than the last game.

#5 In the last game, if matching was unsuccessful, you were brought back to the top menu screen, but in this game, it will bring you back to the screen where you can search again.

#6 In the leaderboards, there’s a new button/feature which will take you to the rank at which you are positioned, and a cursor to make viewing easier.

Aaaand some other small fixes here and there to improve the online experience.

rofl @ Phonix Wright's fighting style. Nova looks sick. I wonder if that poster in the background of that screenshot saying some characters from part 2 are "apprehended" is cluing in on future DLCs. If so it looks like Megaman would be first cuz his picture is left blank.
