    Club owner says Quanis Phillips wasn't kicked out of the party

    One of the theories making the rounds regarding the events culminating in the shooting of former Bad Newz Kennels co-owner Quanis Phillips suggests that Phillips tried to gain access to the party, that he was turned away, and that a brouhaha ensued.

    This theory, if accurate, would tend to dispel the notion that Eagles quarterback Mike Vick was "associating" with a convicted felon at his 30th birthday party. Instead, these facts would suggest that Phillips tried unsuccessfully to "associate" with Vick.

    One of the owners of the restaurant/nightclub where the party occurred appeared on 97.5 The Fanatic in Philly to talk about the situation. And Allen Fabijan explained that there were no incidents at the club that evening, and that Phillips was not escorted out of the establishment.

    "We don't have any reflection of that on video," Fabijan said, pointing out later that 16 surveillance cameras have been installed on the premises.

    Fabijan also reiterated that shots rang out at 2:09 a.m. ET, only two minutes after Vick's vehicle pulled away from the club. The shots came from the same direction in which Vick's vehicle was headed.

    LOL I dont understand why ya'll getting at Matt on this one. True enough he says some ? , but this is pretty much just citing the facts around the situation. It doesnt look good for Vick. He may not see jail but he may see himself on another suspension or on the outside of the NFL.

    From day 1 it was assumed that Vick somehow was involved and whether he left 20 minutes before or 3 minutes before it wont change ? in the eyes of Vick's detractors.

    Mike Vick didnt have anything to do with it. I'm living out here and the maintenance man in my apt complex knows quan (thats the guy who got shot) and quan said that the guy came in popping ? cuz he couldnt get in and he started acting a fool and started shooting

    that absolutely could have happened. nodody is dismissing that angle. The only thing that calls it into question is the lying about when he left.

    at one point they said 30 minutes, then they said 10 minutes and possible closer to 20 minutes. and that they had left 'well-before' the shooting took place

    I dunno if I'd call this a lie tho. If you're out with ur people drinkin and decide to leave a party and someone asks when you left there's a good chance you don't kno exactly when. You say you left at 2:30 when it was actually 2:13...easy mistake. I know I've left parties plenty of times and people ask what time I left, and i'm like "Man, i don't even remember" then just gotta give a rough estimate.

    Yea, but you gotta do better than a rough estimate when dealing with a shooting at your party. He might be completely innocent and I hope he is for his sake, but it just does not look good.

    Matt is over complicating a situation cause he has an agenda/is trying to go plat. But at the end of the day all he is doing is extending and creating a situation out of nothing. Literally all this talking is going to go nowhere.

    If you think Vick was guilty/stupid before the shooting, you're going to think it after. If he gets exonerated (which he has already) you're just gonna come up with more hypothetical situations to show guilt. Literally you're going to talk about a situation, as ESPN does, for an entire day and just keep recycling points/issues that were said 2 pages ago.

    All this for "the sake of a conversation"
