Anyone watch The Family ?
It's bizarre lol -
Finally got around to watching sicario last night, first off that white ? had to be musty as hell, ? wore the same damn outfit fot like 80% of the movie
It dragged for a long ass time, but the ending was worth it, i aint think alejandro was finna murk the kids but after hearing what they did to his family, cant blame him one damn bit.
I also laughed at that cornball ass brother sweating that white ? hard and getting no play yet she put out for a dude he introduced her to in under 5 hours, mark. -
Only Lovers Left Alive - Starring Tom Hiddleston and Tilda Swinton as modern day vampire lovers.. decent
Biker Boyz - story of motorbike gangs in LA adapted from a newspaper article. Laurence Fishburne plays father to Derek Luke whilst both competing for 'King of Cali'... a nice ode to father/son relationships especially amongst Black males
Straight Time - released in 1978 and is the best performance I've seen off Dustin Hoffman. Recommended
Knight Of Cups - directed by Terence Malick and stars Christian Bale as a Hollywood studio executive just basically living life around the edges in LA (women, parties etc). Shot by Emanuel Lubezki aka Chivo
The Hunt - Danish thriller about a 5 year old girl who wrongfully accuses a man of sexually molesting her. You can imagine that scenario and the after effects. Good film. -
London has fallen has dropped.

How was this? Tree of life was the worst movie I've ever seen in my life so I'm hesitant to see anything Malick makes moving forward. -

I had that on my watchlist for a minute haven't watched it yet. I will tonight since you said 10/10
Ifcu know theclegend of Billie then u will enjoy it it may not be 10 for u tho that's just my opinion ...let me know what u think
@Vader_F_Kennedy i started watching it cuz i thought it was gonna be a documentary/biopic like that huey newton 1 man play that came out years ago...it was just audra mcdonald lip syncing a performance i gave it about 20 mins then cut it off lol -
I started watching ally mcbeal on netflix...i remember watching some of the later seasons when it was on, but i can appreciate it now as an adult. It was ahead of its time with the situations of male/female dynamics in the work place and in relationships, but from a woman's perspective. It was also the first show I've seen that did those random, short cutaway scenes to illustrate what was going on in ally's head (for reference, scrubs did it too).

Jus watched the 1st 2 episodes of Sundance channel's new show Hap & Leonard (starring Michael K. Williams). Fun watch imo, im digging it so far. Only downside is that season 1 is only 6 episodes. Episodes 1 & 2 can be streamed at sundance.tv
trailer:

Jus finished this. I didnt kno what to expect going in, but i liked it. The main plot is pretty str8 forward n has been done a thousand times b4. But there is a real solid reveal at the end, done thru some flashbacks. That makes up for the str8 forward plot imo.
As i mentioned its only 6 episodes. Thats short af. Shoulda been atleast 8. -
London has fallen has dropped.
Didn't hold my attention not for a second....1st one was a hundred times better
-
The last witch hunter ...trash 3/10
Also watched war of the roses mike Douglas and Kathleen turner... hilarious and sad at the same time chronicles the life of a married couple as they grow to despise each other..9/10
Black rain ..mike Douglas and Andy garcia.new york..cops chase a Japanese crime boss back Tokyo ..8/10 -
1st one was better, but I still enjoyed this one.
-
maybe its ? i wasnt giving it 100% of my attention but it seemed all over the place. -
So I just started watching that M.T.V show catfish again. This ? stepped out looking like gabriel iglesias
Then the other ? slapped the fire out of her ass for catfishing her. She acted like she wanted to fight but went back in the house and started crying like a girl. I guess they fighting on this show now. Looks like I'm going to have to start ? with this show again. Y'all females are gonna have a field day with the feminine ? makeup, that ? was over the top lol. -

I like Malick's approach to filmmaking. I understand why people hate his films. There's hardly a narrative or certified script. All the actors say he just goes with the 'flow' and some say they act out scenes and they don't even make the final edit/cut.. yet actors fall at their feet to feature in a Malick picture
About the film itself, I watched it more for the visuals; we all know the genius of Lubezki as a cinematographer. The editing is like start/stop; every 2 - 3 seconds and with voice-overs
It's a film you can see if you're alone and don't got ? all to do and features famous faces -
