This ? said warren moon Im done

Moon was 3rd in all time passing when he retired.... Moon had to play in Cfl where if u combine his passing yards there he would have had the all time record.... Dude didnt play in this soft protect the qb era either.... If u gonna disagree fine but the sarcasm is stupid when dude has a real argument to why he is better. only thing Manning has over him definitively is a ring..

Brady is better than him in the post season (in this era). Peyton can't be the greatest QB of all time when he has had higher seeded teams choke over the years, he's top 5, for sure though

    @coop9889 and BlackxChild

Yall are entitled to your own opinions but that ? (Peyton Manning) has folded many years in the playoffs against weaker competition.

@coop9889 I never said it did equate to 1 ring not being great but Peyton has been on some very talented squads that have folded because of his mistakes.

I think he's overrated you all are entitled to yalls opinion though Brady and Roethlisberger are less talented players with the same amount of talent around them or less and are still successful.

Lol at this comment I'm done weaker competition in the playoffs lol..again

Im peyton biggest fan, and hate brady... but brady is better... that debate is at rest forever now... it just is........

Lot of blame to go around in that loss, but as the leader peyton should step up and tell fox he's being too conservative........

Also, HE chose denver and that conservative ? coach... coulda went to san fran and dealt with the opposite with harbough.. now they move on and he's at home... peyton should be a coach... he aint bout this nfl life

    *his biggest fan

lol this ? adding CFL stats.....bruh in the nfl warren moon name doesnt carry a long way like peyton does besides the all time yards record what other record does moon have?....you know how many times moon had to throw the ball to get that much yardage? he has damn near 7,000 attempts alone for his nfl stats not saying warren moon was wack but he's not that type of qb to compare to peyton manning and if you really believe warren moon was better than peyton when he played just because he threw the ball more then you just being beyond biased

@Reggie80 if you're a number one seed with a bye and losing to a team that barely got in on the regular thats perceived weaker competition but what ever.

Dude has folded against competition he was favored to beat several years, even though he was on more talented teams.

Makes me wonder if some of you ? even watch the games.

When has Manning ever gotten the blame for a loss though? At least with Favre the media would say 'yeah he's careless and can ? up a lot.'

? outta here, only reason he got a ring is because the Colts de stepped up that year in the playoffs, but he gets all the glory, he deserved as much glory as Trent Dilfer with his superbowl win

Before his ring he got heavy criticism for his play in the postseason how soon we forget.

Fact is as much is we all try to put a premium on the importance of QB play in the NFL its still the ultimate team sport. Their plenty of "great" QB's that we're carried in postseason games.

Once upon a time the NFL’s top seed would glide through the regular season with an impressive record, gaudy team statistics, and would complete their journey with a run through the postseason to capture a Super Bowl title. From 1975 to 1996, the team with the best regular season record won 14 out of 22 Super Bowls (63.6 percent).

But that was in the past. Now the "regular season champion" is more likely to lose in their first playoff game than to get to the big game. Only one of the last 15 teams with the best record has won the Super Bowl, and that was the 2003 New England Patriots. Five of the last seven teams went one and done.

The decline of the No. 1 seeds
In 1990 the NFL expanded to a 12-team playoff format. Over the next 22 seasons, the top seeds only met three times in the Super Bowl: 1991 (Washington vs. Buffalo), 1993 (Dallas vs. Buffalo) and 2009 (New Orleans vs. Indianapolis)

While a lot of these No. 1 seeds are still very strong teams, the improvement in quality of the lower seeds is having an impact too. Once considered pushovers, we have seen two No. 6 seeds (2005 Steelers and 2010 Packers) and a No. 5 seed (2007 Giants) win championships. In fact, only the 2008 Steelers (No. 2 AFC) and 2009 Saints (No. 1 NFC) have won a Super Bowl after having a first-round bye since 2005.

That 2005 season is also the first time a No. 6 seed beat a No. 1 seed, when the Steelers shocked the Colts. Since then, the No. 6 seed is 5-1 against the No. 1 seed, which is just staggering.

So miss me with that seeding ? do you watch the games?

Here is a trip down memory lane as the regular season champions can only take their paper trophy and turn it into Kleenex for their sobbing fans.
1997 San Francisco 49ers (13-3; lost NFC Championship)
1998 Minnesota Vikings (15-1; lost NFC Championship
1999 Jacksonville Jaguars (14-2; lost AFC Championship
2000 Tennessee Titans (13-3; lost AFC Divisional
2001 St. Louis Rams (14-2; lost Super Bowl
2002 Philadelphia Eagles (12-4; lost NFC Championship
2004 Pittsburgh Steelers (15-1; lost AFC Championship
2005 Indianapolis Colts (14-2; lost AFC Divisional
2006 San Diego Chargers (14-2; lost AFC Divisional
2007 New England Patriots (16-0; lost Super Bowl
2008 Tennessee Titans (13-3; lost AFC Divisional

2009 Indianapolis Colts (14-2; lost Super Bowl
2010 New England Patriots (14-2; lost AFC Divisional
2011 Green Bay Packers (15-1; lost NFC Divisional
@Louisiana Crude-stop acting like this is something new
Not saying Peyton isn't a choke artist but what teams did he lose too besides the Steelers who won the chip by the way and the Saints who won the Super bowl did he lose too and he was favored.Ok 2007 when they lost too the Chargers but imo the Chargers was better than them.

A lot of people dismissing this as 'prsioner of the moment', disrespect, etc. But this thread is VALID.

Unless he wins another 1, Peyton is just 'one of the goats', i.e. Elway, Marino, Favre-you know, guys who are great but not in that last .01 percentile.

The eye test and numbers fade (especially when so many passing marks will fall in this era). RINGS, in additon to those numbers, is the only thing that's constant

The top of the class is Brady and Montana, period. Peyton is off that list unless he wins another one.

@Reggie80 Peyton sealed the Broncos fate with that late turnover.

I remember when we played them in the SuperBowl a few years ago when he was with the Colts they had the momentum and he threw it right to Tracy Porter that play really is what won us that game.

I remember numerous years he's folded and made critical mistakes against his arch rival Brady.

You can defend him all you want man but he's on Brett Favre status now.

They seem to be above criticism.

Team wins its because of them team loses it wasn't their fault.

Dude isnt seeing Montana, Brady, or even a few others like Elway and Young.

He's top ten though maybe top 5 or 6 but a unachiever in my opinion.

They in the category together. The category of 'one of the best ever...just not Brady or Montana'

The second Brady stopped being a 'game manager' and started puttin up numbers also in about 2007, it was a wrap.

So when he was a "game manager" by your own admission he was allowed to be wrongfully bumped in the ranks. If so other game managers should be allowed to jump multiple all time spots. If not you're admitting dude was overrated to begin with and that all the slurpin being done of him is just that & more specifically done with hindsight only.

This whole time Brady's been "puttin up numbers" he hasn't won a SB since;lost to lower seeds; had numerous "offensive" weapons to rely on whether he made them the weapon or not and has had an inconsistent and sometimes laughable defense. So basically he turned into Peyton. Isnt that all the things that were "excuses" when it came to Peyton. Yet arent we in this thread praising Brady for his control of the game, Line Of Scrimmage & offense.
