Im surprised graduation is losing. it's my favorite Ye album to tell you the truth. MBDTF wasn't even all that. I was disappointed when yall IC cats convinced me to give it a try. Bunk ? like "All of the lights" pshhh smh....."cant tell me nothing" is better than any joint on the whole MBDTF

    Both great albums.
IMO ; Graduation, is Kanye's celebration of life album. Much similar to Tupac's, 'All Eye'z on Me

Graduation's, Kanye's lightest album to date, in terms of it's mood, and tempo .
I'm guessing in life, that's were Kanye was as well.
    -2 critically acclaim albums
-Momma West was still here, and Ye' was engaged to his then momma approved fiance.

Graduation was also, Kanye's first album without his signature soul sound. Which made it more intresting.

I remember when I first heard Stronger in the summer,i was captivated.
That's when I stopped looking at Ye, as a great rapper & producer
Instead, as a genius alongside the likes of; Marvin, Prince, Micheal, James, Bootsy, George, Rick.

The whole album would soon captivate me.
    Can't Tell Me Nothing
    Homecoming
    Everything I Am
    Good Life
    Flashing Lights
    Big Brother
    Good Morning

A lil' surprised at the current results. I prefer "Graduation" over "MBDTF". I don't even really like "MBDTF" all that much as a Kanye album; it's not bad per se, just no feeling it.

On side note though..."Graduation" was the 1st album that Kanye was ? with that "Euro" sound, so not sure why anyone would bring up that in regards to "MBDTF"

I wonder, flashing lights, can't tell me nothing was classic kanye. Those songs are classics and have ultra replay value. Most people really didn't like graduation because it was so short. That was the main problem I kept on seeing complaints about. That album was a breath of fresh air.

The hate ? and hot girls get's hat from only people who can't relate. That song is the ? truth!! He dropped some of the trillest lines he ever wrote.

"We go through too much ? just to mess with these ? and hot girls"

"I don't want to drop your friends off I just want you"

Stop dancing with your girlfriends and come dance with me/(This ? is the worst lol!!)
stop talking bout your boyfriend since he is not me/
stop running up my tab cause these drinks is not free

Plus it was just a fun song to dumb out to.

I wouldn't say he was ass, but he had the weakest verse on that song (thank the Cosmos RZA ain't drop a verse LOL)..

Pusha had the best verse imo..

T-Pain on Good Life and that souless version of Homecoming will forever ruin Graduation for me. And ? ... I actually don't have a problem with Drunken Hot Girls, nor do I get the hate for Barry Bonds.

I hated Graduation when it came out, but as time has passed Ive learned to like it (more than late Registration actually) AND realize that Kanye pretty much laid the foundation for incorparating electro-pop elements into hip hop....

But MBDTF was on a whole nother level. To me anyway. People talk about the "epicness" of the album, but what really captivates me about it was the level of personalness Kanye put into it. Hardly any of the songs feel like they were meant to be easily digested pop friendly singles that are here today, gone tommorrow; but instead are more or less sounding boards for powerful (no pun intended) and relevant themes.

Only two songs on there that don't really fit into that theme are "So Appalled" and "Monster" and guess what? Those were the most HIP HOP songs Kanye West had put out in awhile, especially coming off of Graduation and 808s.
