http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j41qNcjDoc8Marvels "Thor: The Dark World" continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of Marvels "Thor" and "Marvels The Avengers," Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos...but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.

Meh trailer.
My thoughts exactly. I'll give it a shot though. I thought the first one was decent, and this one looks to have more action at least.

The dark elf king? That's cool but I want to see surtur. But I guess they not going to break out the big bad guys because of thanos in the upcoming avengers sequel. It seems like they're taking it real slow with thor. ? better be in asgard because his battles can't be fought correctly on earth.
On another note:
All the marvel movies have been good. But the bad guys never look as bad ass as they do in the comics/cartoons. Or they just never cast the right person to play the role or get the body types right. The dark el king looks underwhelming as ? and you can tell he's wearing a rubber suit(I hope they fix that ? ). The manderan in iron man 3 looks like somebody off of "game of thrones"(not some evil looking asian looking like old shang tsung from mortal kombat). All the spiderman villeins looked like marvel studios ran out of money when it was time to make them. They also seem to go a little left with the bad guys story lines too. DC does this ? too(bane, Parallax, ra's al ghul, etc etc). -
They could be saving surtur for the third one never know man

These types of movies never disapoint me because I don't expect to be blown away. I expect to see live action super hero ? , explosions, cliche villains, romance etc. Marvel has a formula and it works. Prolly why I'm not a really a big fan of the Batman movies. Takes it self way to serious.

cant wait

i still have not seen the 1st one. this looks solid tho

Damn a full on war? I'm down to see it. Never read the comics of Thor except one and my memory of that has long since disappeared

I have to admit after fear itself event he's been getting ? on waaaaaaay too much hopefully if the sequel is successful that changes. -

Exactly...Thor is basically one of Marvel's big guns...he's been the pointy end of the spear in a lot of the marvel team ups and cosmic threats. Thor + Mjolinr is one of the most unstoppable forces in the Marvel Universe.
The movies been half stepping with his power levels...
