very few major college athletes *really* grew up fans of the teams they play on.

    Trust.

Honestly, most above average athletes are bandwagoners. They have a "mercenary" mentality by nature and they crave being in the spotlight, so most of them gravitate to whoever was good when they were growing up.

Word to Lebron being a Yankees and Cowboys fan, and Kobe liking Duke and North Carolina.

Aight, I'm about tired of the Trevor Knight/Johnny Football comparisons. I feel like nobody should compare unproven running backs to AP, so the same goes for Manziel even though I don't see him as the QB equivalent of AP.

But still, wigga put up numbers and earned stripes. Let the boy cook before comparing him.

Trey Millard at the press conference...

Reporter: "Is there a noticeable difference in the team from last year?"

Millard: "Umm, yeah. We have a faster QB"

For the third time in the past four years, LSU will begin its season against a nationally-ranked opponent at a neutral site this Saturday. LSU is 8-0 in Season openers under Les Miles. The Tigers haven’t lost a non-conference regular season game since falling at Virginia Tech, 26-8, in the 2002 season opener in Blacksburg, Va., on Sept. 1. Which is also the last time they lost in a season opener.

    Sept. 10, 2005: No. 5 LSU 35, No. 15 Arizona State 31 at Tempe
    Sept. 2, 2006: No. 8 LSU 45, Louisiana-Lafayette 3 at Tiger Stadium
    Aug. 30, 2007: No. 2 LSU 45, Mississippi State 0 at Starkville
Aug. 30, 2008: No. 6 LSU 41, Appalachian State 13 at Tiger Stadium
    Sept. 5, 2009: No. 11 LSU 31, Washington 23 at Seattle
Sept. 4, 2010: No. 21 LSU 30, No. 18 North Carolina 24 at Atlanta (Ga.)
    Sept. 3, 2011: No. 4 LSU 40, No. 3 Oregon 27 at Arlington (Tex.)
Sept. 1, 2012: No. 3 LSU 41, North Texas 14 at Tiger Stadium

LSU will put a Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) record on the line again in the season-opener as the Tigers have won 41 consecutive non-conference regular season games dating back to the 2002 season.

    This one still burns

No move it's a toss up. But I do wanna know how Toledo gonna score 20 points in a "no fly zone".

And will Florida get disrespected again

    We don't play UNC.

In cheapseats the Gamecocks are referred to as Scar. There is only one and I repeat one USC.

And they reside in Southern Cal. Good day sir.

I'm anticipating some sloppiness in the first half, that's when they'll score most of their points.

And who gives a damn about they disrespect they got they ass whipped right? They went back to Middle of Nowhere Ville with an L right? Okay then.
