For the people saying he could have been better or he could have been a winner, y'all need to understand that his style and attitude towards the game is what made him so good.

He didn't give a ? and he was going to do it his way, and that "I'm above ? " attitude showed on the court. That's why he had no problem shooting the ball every time, while making a good amount of them and embarrassing his opponent. That's why he didn't shy away from his idol in MJ and crossed the ? out of him on some "he can't check me" ? .

And for the people saying his career should have ended better, y'all don't understand the ego and confidence that is needed to be a player of that caliber. Nobody of that stature is going to willingly come off the bench at ANY point in their career.

I guarantee if the Lakers told Kobe to come off the bench for ANYONE next year or ever he would curse them the ? out and demand a trade. The same thing with Jordan at ANY point in his career and various others. So what AI did is pretty standard.

nah yo ... kobe has won 5 rings. 2 without question being the team leader (3 wit shaq)

you are exactly right about the attitude he had, but he went over board with it, and thats what ? up his career. if he feels he's so above ? , then why did he think he needed to score all the points in every single game?? at some point, if you think you shouldnt have to show up for every practice (we talking bout practice) then certainly you should feel as if your teammates should be able to help manage a game, and then youre job as the head ? in charge would be to carry them over the finishline. you cant have it both ways. now taking last shots and game winners?? go full steam ahead with that attitude, lebron almost went off the deep end because of the lack of this. but at the end of the day, when you ? up and you cant get a run, and ? is getting crazy off the court too, go head and cook for a few weeks in the d league and come back quietly.

you cant compare jordan and kobe to AI career wise. skill set wise?? of course!! but its not like this dude had a career that went straight thru with a few chips and then coaches was suddenly like "come off the bench lil man"

you already had failed comebacks fam ... there aint that much pride in the world

Nobody is perfect. He's not going to automatically put his ego in check just because. It doesn't work that way, and never has. If everyone knew when to put themselves in check, we would have limited conflict in his world.

... The practice rant was taken out of context, and thinking you're above ? does generally go hand in hand with taking a good majority of the shots. Mostly because, you think you have the best chance of helping the team.

Funny you mention Iverson shakin Jordan. I said this in a thread the other day. ? love to talk about that play but never mention Jordan got Iverson back and shook him out of bounds.on the baseline literally the next trip down the court.

Chill with the dumb ? logic. AI was the new guy and he crossed the ? out of the best player in the league at the time, who was also a great defender... That's why it was such a big deal.

The best player in the league shaking the new guy is EXPECTED, therefore, no one gives a ? .

Top 5 of his generation. Top 40 overall.

The leader of bring the streets to the NBA. A trend setter.

More "heart" and toughness than anyone in the game ever...only Zeke comes close to that.

Unfortunately, ESPN will tell you his selfishness and off-the-court ? costed him maybe a title, but if he doesn't make the HOF, clearly he's been blackballed.

Stop it with this blackballed ? .. you might as well be saying illuminati...

ESPN was right... the ? .. he ran out co pilots a few times...and his style of play for his stature was all wrong

In terms of streets what are you talking about....

Hes clearly a first ballot HOF

When I say "streets", I mean the whole Hip-Hop persona of what a "nba baller" was. Think on it. That ? dress code Stern put in place what mostly cause of HIM...the braids, the chains, the whole get-up. He was consider the "leader" of the NBA's Hip-Hop movement that Stern tried to clean up.

? , I'll take what he used to rock to the games over that weirdo ? Wade and Westbrook be having on.

I say ESPN will used that other ? against him just by watching that interview traestar put in. Payton and McNabb were talking about the man's career and what he'll be best remembered for and the slick white ? couldn't do nothing but bring up that "practice" rant...

...REAL NBA Fans that respected his game see that as a funny footnote in his career, not some catalyst event the media plays it out to be.

S/N: shouts out to McNuggets. Him and A.I. held Philly down for about 10 years straight. Some Philly native should greenlight an ESPN 30 for 30 doc on their tenures in Philly at the same time. ? would be dope.

    Where Will Smith at?

Nate robinson is more gifted than iverson he played 2 sports in college and had enough ability to block lebron and yao ming 2 players a foot and almost 2 feet taller than him

Iverson had a green light to gun on those wacc ass philly squads.Give any solid scorer in the nba 25-28 shots a game on teams who suck and they'll average 30+ easily

oh yes i understand that thats the mistake he made, but ok, when do you take a step back and say "ok, well i either do this or never play again"???

its like when you get out of jail and you on parole. you dumb as ? if you dont lay low for atleast a little while. you just gonna get out, cop a gun and some coke, and go on the run from your PO?? LOL

i mean got dayum... you cant just chill for a month or two getting some ? and eating at your favorite restaurant??

of course he's not gonna put his ego in check just because. he'll put it in check because he's completely depleted all other options. you're presenting the situation from a skewed perspective when you say

"If everyone knew when to put themselves in check, we would have limited conflict in his world."

that speaks to correcting your mistakes BEFORE THEY HAPPEN. no one will argue that. were talking about him coming back from those mistakes at the end of it all

the lebron block was from behind LOL

all that is no different than AI dunking on camby (which is more respectable because camby was actually going for the ball. also the dunk on the 7ft dude

So Iverson, the same Iverson who lied to his team about his daughter being sick while he was partying at the CIIA tournament, didn't cause his own off the court ? and incidents like that aren't part of why no team wanted to be bothered with him?

dude are you serious?? LOL ? wiki

georgetowns football team was canceled in like the sixties. the ? went on for like 25 - 30 years. the program just came back around the time of iverson and even then they didnt even play in the big east like the basketball team. them ? was playing in the fcs ... they werent even eligible for bowls and i still think it holds true to this day LOLOLOL

furthermore, when AI went to georgetown, it was one of the premier basketball schools in the country. if nate robinson is so great, why'd he not go to a top program?? when you play for a national power house as their star player, they wont even let you run track let alone play another sport full time. washington isnt necessarily a joke, but its not like they got top talented skill players at each others throats to play there LOL

bo jacksons first love was baseball but he said ? it and played football, had a better football career than baseball got drafted by tampa bay and said ? them cause they ? up his final season in college baseball ... you act like nate robinson is some alien talent or something.

so let me get this straight, who's better?? nate robinson or AI??

    LOL
