R&C is. Same with Resistance. Sony wouldn't give them control over their created IP. Started farming them out to other devs. It's why they went XBOX exclusive. They own Sunset Overdrive.

We all know what EA did to Overstrike Fuse.

I guess their logic is, without interference from Sony or EA they can make a good game.

"This is Insomniac being Insomniac," said president and CEO Ted Price at Sunset Overdrive's unveiling. "This is the kind of game that we've all dreamed of developing for a long time. It's the game we've been meaning to make for 20 years. We finally understand what we love the most, and that reflects in the tone of the game."

Very telling quote. Its clear that Microsoft freed them from whatever shackles they felt were holding them back from creating a truly great game and the definitive Insomniac experience before Sunset Overdrive. Big blowout today. Game looks amazing.

Some rumors are very, very fake. Others turn out to be true—and today's Sunset Overdrive news adds yet more credence to a major Xbox leak from January that predicted a number of still-unannounced titles, including a remake of Halo 2 and a sequel to Forza Horizon.P

In January, a user named "ntkrnl" on the message board NeoGAF posted a number of teases and hints for upcoming games on Microsoft's newest console. He claimed that the Halo 2: Anniversary Edition will be out this fall and include a beta for Halo 5; that a sequel to the racing game Forza Horizon will also be announced for later this year; and that the white Xbox One—currently only available to Microsoft employees—will be released to the public.P

Halo 5, ntkrnl wrote, will be out in 2015.P

At the time, we confirmed that he was connected to Microsoft, but we weren't able to verify all of the leaks. But today, one of his January posts about the upcoming Xbox One game Sunset Overdrive stands out:P

Sunset Overdrive is set in some weird ? future (like 2020)

Everyone drinks this ? drink, Overcharge XT or whatever and you either turn into one of these giganto monsters or you die.

This big corp (Microsoft, lol) takes control of the city trying to wipe this ? out, because its their drink and they ? up.

Supposedly there is managed content that will be developed for an entire year, as it is an open/breathable world.P

Today, Insomniac Games released a new trailer for Sunset Overdrive. In it, drinks created by a big corporation turn the world's inhabitants into monsters. None of that was public information before today.P

While it's certainly possible that the leaker guessed those little details from the E3 teaser trailer last year, the correct details are just another sign that adds credence to his rumors. Xbox boss Phil Spencer has been teasing a Halo 2 remakefor quite some time now, and some of ntkrnl's other rumors have also come to fruition in some form, like images of a Titanfall-themed Xbox One that was later shown off by developer Respawn.P

In other words, it's become pretty clear that ntkrnl was legit—although of course some of the details in his posts could change over time, particularly the long-term promises. (Crackdown 3, ntkrnl promised, will be out in 2016, as will an Xbox One game by the Japanese studio Platinum.)P

For a full rundown of all of the ntkrnl leaks so far, check out this NeoGAF post.P

XBOX ONE MAY UPDATE NOW AVAILABLE
Bringing a fair few quality-of-life improvements.

Microsoft has released the Xbox One May Update, containing a range of improvements centered on the console's audio controls and Party Chat functionality.

As we previously reported, this is the second small patch in as many weeks and is indicative of the company's commitment to roll out updates more regularly.

Xbox One Party Chat and System Update Tweaked in Patch
This patch causes the "Get System Update" button to be greyed-out when no patch is available, while it'll read "Update Console" if your system software isn't up to date.

You'll also be able to opt-in to help improve speech-recognition, with samples of your voice being sent to Microsoft to analyse for its algorithms, as well as fiddle with volume controls for various apps when you're using Snap or chatting with Kinect.

Other issues addressed include one where Party Chat was muted if you failed to snap the app, alongside another where Game DVR clips occasionally recorded without audio. New features for the next big patch will likely be revealed shortly.

You could use 2 external HDD's at the same time regardless of memory capacity (after 256 GB). Very cool.

Twitter, Vine, HBO GO, ShowTime Anytime, Comedy Central, and MLG among More Than 45 New Experiences Coming to Xbox
    JUNE 4TH 2014 8:00 AM PT

As of the latest Xbox One system update, currently rolling out worldwide, everyone with an Xbox has access to all of our available entertainment experiences. And that lengthy list is about to get significantly longer – today we’re pleased to announce that our app catalog will increase by nearly 25%, bringing the tally to more than 225 apps around the world.

An exciting new feature coming to Xbox One is the first Vine app made for TV. Not only will you be able to watch all your favorite Vine videos on the biggest screen in your house, you’ll be able to share gameplay videos from Upload Studio as a Vine.

Another addition I’d like to highlight is the way Twitter will be integrated into Xbox One’s TV experience. U.S. viewers will have the ability to see Tweets related to whatever cable or satellite TV shows you’re watching as they’re happening. Take a look:

There are plenty more new apps on the way as well – 46, to be exact.

Well I'll download the Halo game when I get home. Paid for Max a few months ago. I'm at the end but haven't completed it yet.
