yo this movie was tooooo dope. reminded me of Gone Baby Gone because it left me buzzing and re-thinking ? about how conventional norms are wrong in a lot of ways.. this movie is good for you disturbing

This movie was good but literally so much ? could have blown amys new Story up. Fbi dont just believe ? like that
that couple that robbed amy or hell the people(or cameras) in the casino when she met esi could have just ended her game -

For myself the most resonant movies on a particular topic present believable, complex, relatable characters doing plausible things ... It didn't do that
Beyond that the movie didn't deliver any insightful commentary in regards to marriage or relationships or on the media
And the ending felt lazy

Just didn't enjoy the movie... Seems as though finch and co didn't know if they wanted to make a thriller, a murder mystery, or a satire

That's the whole point! It's a film that plays with the audience's minds whilst watching it as evidenced from some posters here. .. ("Wtf did I just watch???")
Even Fincher himself in an interview I watched recently said what drew him to the script was the bending tones; the unpredictability of the story
It's just a story with the theme: Everything Is Not What It Seems.. .
Yea I can say the same for a lot of movies ...they have comedic elements, drama, thrills, twists
But imho what makes a movie great is when this blending of genres is effortless not to distract the audience... Six Sense is a good example
I utlimately think it was the source material that is to blame, but I found myself looking at my watch throughout the movie
And yes the story was unpredictable in a lot of ways and maybe that is why fincher decided to make it into a movie... But for me it wasn't predictable in a good way
It was implausible situation after another ...the genius Amy who almost got away with murder got bamboozled by a hick couple ... Desi who had been the target of Amy's lies and manipulation in the past was not willing to help her and what did the police make of the days/weeks of video footage of amy willing arriving at desi house, her choosing to remain at the house while Desi went to work instead of trying to escape....the fbi accepted her story though it was full of holes? ...did no one notice that amy had no head wound though she claimed to have been hit in this head and that is why her blood was all over kitchen?
Wasn't garbage but not the Oscar contender people are hyping it up to be

LOL I see you saw or noticed a lot of plot holes. Fair play to you.. every movie has those and this one is an adaptation scripted by the same author so. ..
And the Oscar hype I've heard is only for Rosamund Pike's performance. -

Gone Girl is the better movie. I saw both twice, and Gone Girl is the one I want to see a third time. -
Watched it a couple of hrs ago and decided to c if it had a thread.
I was kinda dragged to c this, didn't know wtf it was about, thought it was a chick flick...
I hate to say it but I enjoyed it, I'm not a affleck fan, I still hate him cause I had to sit through Argo.
That blond ? was made for that role.
I've seen her in other ? her face, her acting, the ? she was doing throughout the movie, I really can't c anyone else playing that role now.
She definitely did her Glenn Close thing.
My jaw dropped a couple times, glad that ? got killed. Y does he keep getting straight roles?
I did get exasperated after awhile. Just wanted to know how tf this ? gonna end, ? ? with my emotions.
And yea smash on afflecks sister, ? it.

just saw this me and wife probably wont sleep in the same room for like a week,she end up turning that ? into a slave/puppet she ended up winning in the end like i haven't seen a horror movie in along time they left a knot in my stomach like this movie did

Went Saturday with my girl to catch this at the $3 joint before it went completely out of theaters ......... Her co-worker basically begged her to go see it so she could have somebody at work to talk about it to.
Had the slow start that had me whispering in her ear "Da ? is this ? you got me watching?!" Then the movie went in ....... ? was like a roller coaster ride how it started off slow, got to a high point, took mad turns & twist .... then ends with you wanting more ........ really good flick
Could've ended a few different ways when her plan started to fall apart ....... -
