This isn't something that comes up in everyday conversation, they hardly ever say they are white outright, unless it's your boy Murdoch, but it's pretty obvious what they're implying when they claim them as Caucasian.
You've probably never heard them say Ethiopians were white Caucasian either. -

People don't really see why it's so important that we understand that the Egyptians weren't white or semitic or any middle eastern but black african because the truth of the matter it will raise racial pride and social pride and etc. It will eliminate the ignorance that blacks cannot create a advance society let alone be the prominent figures in civilization. It will show how weak racism truly is and how it is irrational.

And it's really just this simple. They call Greeks the "fathers of western civilizations" but they leave out the fact that the Greeks took alot of their culture from the Egyptians whom they admired. And to be doubly cautious they backwards classify the ancient Egyptians and even the Egyptians of today as "honorary whites". -

Egyptians weren't the only / greatest African Empire tho, btw; Just the one we can recognize most readily.
Not to sound too much like @SixSickSins, but the more I've learned about our true history, upon also gaining a greater understanding / appreciation of what we contribute to this world now, I've always "felt'" that we are almost naturally superior to Whites in most ways. Realization of this fact is probably what lead to the barbaric hatred that Whites operate with now, forcing them to resort to attempting to destroy Us..They absolutely don't want Egyptians of today or ancient times to be thought of as Black.
Whites attempting to monopolize greatness, even chronologically. And from a conqueror's pov, they're also "smart" enough to start trying to move in on identifying as victims also. These cave monkeys really do want to be the End-All-Be-All, at both ends of the spectrum.. Just evil.. -

There's absolutely NO scientific basis for Europe to be on top of the map. There is no up or down in Space. When astronaughts got to space and looked at Earth for the first time and took pictures, this is what they saw:
The world with AFRICA on top. Before NASA released this to the public they flipped it so that Europe was on top, as is traditional orientation of the world. That subtle bit right there demonstrates how deep it is. -
