Only ? I like on defense is Cam, Anthony and the Hawaiian
Our pass rush was weak last game without him.
Our CBs are trash. -
For some reason, New Orleans is a place where defensive players just underperform for some strange reason. David Hawthorne was a beast in Seattle, he gets paid in New Orleans now he looks like a ? who's lost his starting spot, Malcolm Jenkins was as inconsistent as they come while he was here now he's playing lights out in Philly, Jairus was a 3-time Pro Bowl free safety in Buffalo, now he looks worthless in New Orleans blowing deep coverage assignments and running into cornerbacks on easy interceptions.

I wanted to keep Jenkins.
I always liked him. -
I know we've had issues a long time but it seems like ? really ain't been right since Bounty Gate.

Harper playing well for Carolina.
It's probably the scheme.

Jenkins was a converted CB. He was too slow to be a CB so they moved him. He is a good Free safety. Harper is playing good in Carolina because they actually have a good DL.
When the Saints had a good DL the Defense looked good. pressure is the name of the game. I do believe that the Saints have good dbs but when a QB has more than 4 seconds to survey your D. There is always a whole. Blitzing is not the answer.
Breaux, Lewis, and Swan always grade out well. Problem is Browner and his consistent way of getting penalties. You cant keep putting a safety above him to save him. If Swan was not always hurt, Browner would be out there more. Kyle is also serviceable but Browner is a leader on the team also. Seattle and New England proved you can win with him. Problem is the Saints hasnt figure out that formula. -
I read something yesterday on Nola about Browner.
Fault for Brandon Browner's play should fall more on the misevaluation by the New Orleans Saints than on the cornerback, NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune NFL scouting expert Chris Landry said Wednesday.
"I don't mean to be flippant, they basically just hired an electrician to take a plumbing job," Landry said. "They did not evaluate what he is very well, just like they did not evaluate Jairus Byrd very well."
Landry said Browner "does not play well with the back to the ball. He doesn't turn on the ball very well. He has been effective in the past when he is squatting and looking inward toward the quarterback in a zone concept. They don't do that."
The misevaluation on Browner is similar to what the Saints also have experienced with running back C.J. Spiller, Landry said.
"They can't get him on the field," Landry said. "There's an issue. You either did a poor job of evaluating what he could contribute to you, or you're doing a poor job of getting him involved. In either case, you looked at him for an answer. And he's far from it."

toss up
i'ma go with David. But more so, Mickey Loomis for signing a small ass DB to play man coverage when he played a zone in Indy...SAME thing he did with Browner -
A step in the right direction.
-
Dennis Allen will be the new DC. This was in the plans from the beginning. SP didnt want to look like he didnt give him a chance.
-
Ryan should have been fired at the end of last season.
Really hadn't had a good DC since Greg Williams; I know cats said he blitzed to much but he did get the most out of our defensive talent for the most part.
I'm not even going to get on that disaster that Spagnolu or however you spell his name was. -
That fat ? finally gone! Yes!
