Josh Norman was never good, he was just a average cornerback who had a "personality" and the media hyped him and the panthers beating weak competition

    http://teensportsgeeks.sportsblog.com/posts/11642866/why-josh-norman-is-the-most-overrated-player-in-the-nfl.html

Does anybody else think that it is strange that people are saying that Josh Norman is the greatest CB in the NFL right now? Norman started off the season not even as Carolina's #1 CB and suddenly he is the greatest CB in the game today. What has the NFL come to?
    Ads by ZINC

Norman has had an average stat line this year with 56 tackles and 4 picks with two of them being pick-sixes. Look, having four interceptions in one season doesn't make you the greatest CB on the face of the earth.

Just because you had a fight with Odell Beckham Jr. and contained him to 76 yards and one TD doesn't suddenly make you a lockdown CB.

Just because you made one acrobatic interception against Brandin Cooks that made highlight reels doesn't make you the greatest CB in our game.

Just because you are the best CB on a team with a depleted secondary that went 15-1 in the regular season doesn't make you the greatest CB in the game.

Just because your defense is one of the best units in the league and you are the #1 CB on a team of street free agent CB's doesn't make you the greatest CB.

JOSH NORMAN IS THE MOST OVERRATED PLAYER IN THE NFL TODAY. For people who are believing the "Norman is the greatest CB in our league" hype, you're wrong.

Have you ever heard of Tim Tebow? A good eight weeks made Tebow the greatest QB on the planet and the greatest player in our game for 8 weeks until he became an analyst for the SEC Network because he became trash afterwards.

Have you ever heard of Colin Kaepernick? Kaep has an incredible run for one season and suddenly gets a 6 year $114 million contract for nearly leading the 49ers to a Super Bowl win. Now, Kaep can't complete a pass to save his life. He can't find an open seam to run to without being sacked before he can make up his mind.

Have you ever heard of Jeremy Lin? Sure Lin plays basketball rather than football but he models the same storyline. For a month and a half, Linsanity took over the world. Lin was considered the greatest basketball player on the planet during that time frame. Lin got paid in the offseason because the Houston Rockets gave him a $35 million deal.

Well, guess who's payday is in this offseason? It's Josh Norman! His one good year is going to lead to the Panthers or some sorry other team to give him a boatload of money while for the rest of his career he won't be able to cover a receiver to save his sorry ass. Norman is OVERRATED & OVERHYPED. He doesn't deserve the amount of money that he will command for because he is not as good as people make him out to be. He gave up a touchdown in the NFC Divisional Round to Tyler Freaking Lockett who burned him for a TD that nearly let the Seahawks win. Norman is not that good. He isn't the next lockdown CB in the NFL. Mark my words, Norman will be a journeyman in the NFL in 5 years after he gets a massive contract that some team is going to regret for the rest of their sorry existence. NORMAN IS OVERRATED!

    Norman had a good year.

    But I'll put him behind

    PP
    Revis
    Sherman

I see those three dudes man up WR all over the field and shut them down.

Even though Seattle runs cover 3, I seen Sherman play the slot too.

Cover 2 CBs get to much credit for cover skills when they really don't have to cover. He's like R. Barber to me. Good scheme CB. Because any Defense that has Harper and Coleman doing great is crazy. It has to be scheme fit.

Plus Luke and Davis plays the pass so great it makes the secondary looks good

Niners did not win the Super Bowl with Kaepernick; they lost to the Ravens.

Their numbers are very similar this year. And that's with PP following the best WR all over the field.

And he done it at a high level since year one. Not 1 good year.

And PP graded higher than Norman according to PFF

    Thought you had something huh?

I'll take the rookie Marcus Peters over Norman. He didn't even shut down Odell, Odell burnted him and dropped a bomb for a TD zzzzz
