I have a hard time seeing why Nas is so great.

No hate i like the guy just find most of his new ? boring, but the real reason I made this thread is because I want to know whats so great about Nas as a lyricist, I just find it hard to understand most of the things he raps, people on here say Nas is killing it but im finding it hard to see how.
For example i was just browsing the lif is good thread and somebody ask if somebody would post afew bars from the album and someone posted this..

To which somebody replied..
"oh ? Nas going in"
What are these people seeing that im not? can somebody explain this ? because I feel like im missing the big picture.

Daughters is boring too, I remember first hearing it on the IC and everybody was goin crazy for it, the guys rapping about how his daughter posted condoms on twitter and you all act like hes solving world hunger.

Nas is one of the goat but that Raewkon ? that he does like he did on Nasty is wack. Where he just list off a bunch of ? fast without rhyming and flow off beat. Ghostface is the only ? who can pull that off.

If you ever had any higher education or are just an intellectual you will appreciate Nas's music. As far as Em killing Nas on a track that is really subjective. Nas is going to spit some ? I lived so I would feel that more, Em is going to spit some dope ? I can not relate to therefore, I would go with Nas.

honestly speaking in all seriousness I was not that impressed with "Life Is Good" .
I'm gonna catch heat for saying that but just telling how I felt.
As always the lyricism was great; Nas being extremely lyrical on a record is just a given....its like the sky being blue or Chris Brown spazzing on people on Twitter. It's bound to happen.
The problem was that I wasn't really connecting with the songs like I was on his past albums.

lol @ comparing nas and raekwon though. I get he was in the wu and dropped a classic debut so he's considered a legend, but dude is just not that good to me. Some of his older stuff was good, but his lack of flow and gargling rocks voice make a lot of it wack. I swear when the Wu recorded Gravel Pit they were talking about Rae's voice
