I don't remember Xzibit doing anything in '02, but you seem to know more than me. Was his '02 worthy of being on the poll?

I wonder how many people on this site that owns Stillmatic & That album Eminem dropped that year.

I bet it's more people who own Stillmatic

Mostly Eminem albums was bought by white people, racists and other genres like pop, rock n ? like that. Many kids liked his music since it was very childish. He was always clownin in his videos so it made it easy to be shown on all the music channels & radios. Nas put out songs like Get yourself a gun n ? . He kept it real with it

Nas always stayed real and that year I don't know how Nas wouldn't win, let's talk quality .
Nas dropped ? 's Son a masterpiece, his best personal album dedicated to his mother & Stillmatic who counts aswell A GREAT ? COMEBACK, CLASSIC! .

    Let's not forget Lost tapes...Masterpiece...Wow.

I have never owned a Em aka Hiphop Elvis album, I have also ? off friends in the past by using them as frisbees when I find them in their collections....

    wow your ? ...

I said it was a tie between him and Nas. Fact is, if he wasnt white, he wouldnt have sold half of what he did. Not knocking the numbers, but its the truth. You cant debate that.

This is too tough to call. Nas was stilling rolling with 'Stillmatic'. '? 's Son' was a banger and 'The Lost Tapes' was the 2nd best album of the year after 'The Fix'.

'The Eminem Show' was my favorite Em album and the last one I actually bought. "Lose Yourself" was an all time classic. Obviously, Em ? on Nas in the sales dept, but Nas was rejuvenated and making the best music of his career after 'illmatic'.

Em had the streets with his artist 50.... He had the pop charts becuz he white.... he had the theaters becuz of his movie. . he had arguably the biggest single at the time with lose yourself.... He had the respect of his peers becuz of his bars.... He had every award you could think of from music to movies... I mean damn how much more MVP of a year can you be??? If Em was black with a year like that we'd be calling it the greatest year ever for a rapper
If Em was black, he probably wouldnt have had a year like that.

    The Eminem Show might be Eminem's best album, however;

    Stillmatic >>> The Eminem Show

Lost Tapes >>> The Eminem Show

    ? 's Son >>> The Eminem Show

Basically Nas released 3 albums in the span of 12 months and they were all better than the album Eminem released that year.
But you said Will Smith was the MVP of 1998 cause he sold the most records?

    105205_o.gif

No I didn't. We were debating the MVP of 1998 and people were saying that it was between Jay Z and DMX because they "sold the most". I think they both sold 5 X Plat.

I said, "if its about who sold the most than its between Lauryn Hill (8X plat) and Will Smith (9X plat)".

? who Sold the Most who Told the most and how did it impact the Hip Hop game while keeping my attention that is my criteria. To each there own if you have different standards understand that is where my statements come from...

Nas had the super bounce back after Ether and Stillmatic....You could argue Em though. The Eminem Show is Em's best album imo.
