So the album would be less commercial without those guest appearances.
Nobody is saying Nas is an underground artist. He has been platinum or gold on every release. But Untitled is not your typical album u see. -

They threatened to pull his album off the shelves if he went ahead with it.

He wasnt forced to change the title so some of the blame has to be out on him as well you cant just blame it on the "powers that be" but i think he still got out his message through the songs on the album

The fucken Congress called Nas/Def Jam and personally asked the album title be changed.
His hand was forced.
The New York City figure heads also forced him to change..
Fort Greene, Brooklyn assemblyman Hakeem Jeffries requested New York's Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli to withdraw $84 million from the state pension fund that has been invested into Universal and its parent company, Vivendi, if the album's title was not changed.[15]

What i mean by him not being forced to change it id the fact that he didnt seem to really stand up for his ? like i would expect. I understand that they put him in a tough situation and that it was completely wrong but i was just expecting him to put up more of a fight but at the end of the day it was still a great album and the music wasnt saturated so its all good -
