That's the thing about freeform dreads, everybody's is different. You just let your hair grow naturally and it will lock on its own, but you wont know how it's gonna grow till it happens. You can make small changes like fade the sides or separate the congos (giant locs), but again, it's gonna grow how it wants.
So it can end up lookin like weeknds
or Jcole
or Marley's
or basquit, kravitz, etc . Gunplay's dreads are freeform too, but those are called wix. They get tied together in a certain way to become one or 2 giant locs , that ? big in miami. -
Jcoles isn't traditional freeform where he totally neglects them he twists them.
Bob also his didn't start as freeform. -
How do you figure that? Both are completely neglected.
-
Lol @ the nosign, you obviously dont know what freeforms are. Show me where marley or cole had their dreads twisted lol
-
Say g if you twist or tighten your locs that's not freeforming If you break them a part I don't consider that freeforming. You're supposed to just let them grow and become whatever shape they may take. ? self explanatory
-
Oh you one of them ? with this freeform vs semi freeforming ? . To me if you let your hair naturally loc without gettin it twisted then you're freeforming or "semi-freeforming", regardless if you're separating the congos. And with that said, I dont even think Cole has done that.

I gotta try a good rinse.
I been avoiding youtube vids like the plague because every hair requires something different but I do wanna try to do acv and bs rinse. Heard nothing but good things about it
I prefer a good water rinse -

lol my bad, gel, I wanted her to use butter tho...ill probably go back to her again, because her shop is never jumpin to the point I gotta wait until after my appointment time
I was halfway sleep while she was doing it, next time I'll pay attention to name of the products used
I like the smell of the shea better than the gel -

Both of those can leave a heavy buildup. Be careful with those.
What city are you in? -

Do you know what makes this better?
And how is the build up with this prevented? -

It's more water and oil based making it easier to wash out. That black gel has alcohol that will dry you out and shea butter is way too thick and gets stuck in your sponge like locs, leaving them extra hard like a Brillo pad.
If I'm not mistaken
