I mean did people forget that in Batman Begins Bruce Wayne was the heir well known billionaire son of Thomas Wayne he was declared dead when he was overseas doing his training and learning the streets etc.

So why couldn't he do the same again especially now when he more trained to avoid be noticed then when he was younger.

people act like he was spotted on the daily somewhere in public.. no. he was at the 1 cafe that 1 time just to show Alfred what's up. that's it. after that he probably dipped out to his remote private island somewhere and that was that

Did anyone notice a mistake in the movie. It was near the end of the movie when scarecrow is in the big hall. Bane tells one of his foot soldiers to bring that Thalia chick over to him. In the next scene she's with Bruce Wayne. I was like WTF they didn't paste them two scenes together properly and kind of just shows how rushed the film was

what's that expression - missing the forest for the trees?

The problem is everyone watching the film knows who Bruce is, so they assume the whole world in the film does too, so they keep throwing this ? "How's he gonna sit in a cafe and no one knows who he is" line out.

c/s the dude is a rich CEO from america who re-locate to another country

how many rich foreign CEO's would u recognise if they were sitting across from u at a resturant or bar

Errr... He wasn't rich remember. He went broke so people had the impression that he either died in the riots or relocated to another country. Shittttt, no one cares about you when your broke...

I trust Nolan, I really do but that Trailer didn't do it for me. Honestly this seems like "Rocky III" more than anything. I could tell the whole movie from the trailer. Batman gets his ass kicked almost till death, he goes back into hiding. There's a Love Story with Catwoman, Bane begans to wreak the city. Catwoman and Alfred convince Batman to come back. Then the final ? with Bane and Batman wins and goes off in the sunset. The End.

Where's all the people that gave me a "WACK" when infact I did pretty much predict the movie from the trailer. LOL. It did have similarities to "Rocky III" as far as Rocky losing to Clubber Lane, Quitting and then coming back and winning in a final battle.

LMFAO at the synopsis up on IMDb right now, i wonder how long it'll be before they notice it and take it down. here's the first part, the whole thing is long as ? :

Synopsis: (alert: major spoilers in the end) The movie opens with CIA agents escorting a nervous-ass nuclear scientist guy named Dr. Pavel (Alon Aboutboul) and three hooded ? on board a small aircraft. At first the CIA guy was like, pft, what's with these guys? Friends of yours, ? Doctor? The Doctor quickly disavows any connection to these bagged ? . On learning that the prisoners work for a mercenary named Bane, that gets the blood flowing to the CIA agent's ? and he takes them onboard, attempting to interrogate the prisoners by holding them out the airplane's door and pretending to shoot them when they do not talk. One of the prisoners, wondering why a man would waste a bullet on someone getting thrown out of a plane (really, this guy is an amateur), turns out to be Bane (Tom Hardy), himself. Upon further questioning by the CIA agent in charge into the legend surrounding him, Bane reveals that removing his mask would prove quite painful and advises against it and he is not referring to himself. As the CIA agent begins to gloat over his capture, Bane reveals that getting arrested was part of his plan -- to learn what Dr. Pavel had told them and to crash the plane with no survivors. Suddenly, the aircraft is overpowered by members of a criminal-paramilitary unit in a Hercules C130 swooping in from above. Several of Bane's men climb into the smaller aircraft using ropes, killing the agents. The larger plane connects several tethers to the aft end of the CIA plane, causing it to list forward as the tail is blown away to make room for the rest of Bane's plan. Bane and his men then grab hold of Dr. Pavel and improvise a blood transfer from Pavel to a corpse they have lowered into the fuselage and planted in a seat so that it may be discovered and identified in the wreckage of the plane (and nobody questioning why the wings were, like, quarter mile away? half a mile? and then the tail of the plane another half mile or so as this larger aircraft tears it to pieces along the way. and is that enough blood? does that really work? I have to find that out. yeah, nice work out there, detective ? of the world.) Bane instructs one member to stay behind, as his corpse would be expected which proves these men as both loyal and completely ? crazy, the guy asking if the fire has already been started like a true ? champion -- indeed, it rises. Bane then latches on to Dr. Pavel, attempting to console the panicked and quite frightened doctor by telling him that he is premature in his current grip of fear -- that part of the plan comes much later.

Well of course those could be predicted but my main prediction was it was going to be similar to Rocky III and it was yet everyone was acting like it was impossible to gather that from the trailer. I guess people thought it would be crazy to compare "Rocky III" to TDKR as if it's not a Classic movie. Anyways, IGN just did a fully comparison article they just released 3 days ago so again people were so overly defensive that they couldn't even see some key plot points that the trailer clearly showed that linked it to Rocky. I mean it wasn't that serious but dudes were acting like what I said was so far from the truth:

*Doesn't understand why people are defending this movie to the death and getting offended?*

There were plot holes. Its okay to say that. Its fine. You'll be fine. Overall (and by "overall" I mean all 3 movies) it was dope. TDKR served its purpose. But to act like TDKR is the second coming or some untouchable thing that didn't have more than a few flaws is kinda crazy. The movie was....good.

One of my biggest pet peeves in movies is dealing with ? audiences, people who are either too lazy or stupid to figure out stuff that any intelligent person paying attention can figure out.

Even worse are the retroactive whiners, the people who desperately want to tear a movie down because everybody likes it and we all know that what everyone likes can’t be of any real quality.

So, here’s your guide to supposed plot holes from both camps, and why they’re largely a load of ? .

How Did X Know Bruce Wayne Was Batman?

This comes in two flavors: How did Bane know everything about Batman? And how did John Blake figure out Bruce Wayne was Batman?

To address the first: gee, I don’t know, how did the massive terrorist organization led by the antagonist of the first movie know who Bruce Wayne was? They only trained him and burned down his house. Similarly, it’s pretty easy with that information to put together that he’s Batman and that he has to be hiding all those heavy weapons somewhere. I can see this being a problem for people who didn’t see the first movie, but this is something professional film blogs were whining about.

To address the second: it’s not really a huge logical jump that the well-funded vigilante with all these advanced toys would have something to do with the local trillionaire. Blake’s entire speech was about how he saw right through Bruce’s routine about being a rich idiot with no day job, which is really the only thing that keeps people from realizing he’s Batman anyway. A better question is why Bruce didn’t establish that he and Batman are different people, like they did in the comics.

Batman Totally Heals Too Quickly For a Real World Back Injury

So, wait, you were OK with the constantly stoned body-builder, the decades-away fusion reactor, the insane helicopter, the city totally cut off from the rest of America by a terrorist, and the high-level jewel thief in a unitard on the motorcycle with the spinny wheel firing Howitzer shells, but the guy in the Batsuit getting over a broken back in a few months… that’s what bothers you, Captain Scientific Accuracy?

What bothers me about this ? is people whining about minor details in blatant fantasies. If you can’t roll with it, fine, but don’t act like it’s some sort of outrage that they glossed over medical science.

Bane’s Stock Scam Would Never Work In The Real World

It is true it’d be fairly easy to figure out that these trades were fraudulent, especially as they occurred during a massive terrorist attack.

Then again, it doesn’t seem unreasonable to assume that the kind of person who wants to commit securities exchange fraud under Bruce Wayne’s name would be aware of this. We’re talking about the kind of people who spend most of a decade planning revenge. They’re detail-oriented.

Bruce Totally Wouldn’t Have ? Miranda Tate

Let’s review: Bruce is broke. He’s just lost his best friend and really the only father he’s had for most of his life. He’s just lost his family’s legacy. His car’s gotten repo’d. He’s at what has to be one of the lowest points of his entire life.

Then a woman he’s worked with before and has spent what little time she’s actually had in the movie blatantly hitting on him shows up and acts all interested. Also, she looks like this:

Factor this in too: he pretty obviously has not had sex in at least eight freaking years. Yes, he is a man of incredible self-control and mired in a deep mourning. But he’s not a robot.

The complaint is really that Miranda Tate is not a well-established character in the script, which is absolutely true. But to think this stretches the bounds of belief is to basically not understand people.

Batman Made a Big Fire Symbol In the Sky When The Clock Was Ticking

You know, because he wasn’t marshalling an army, so he didn’t need to inspire any morale. And he totally didn’t want to mess with Bane, either. That wasn’t one of his key objectives.

Seriously, was there something about this whole “inspiring fear” thing people don’t get?

Bruce Wayne Doesn’t Do Background Checks

This, normally, would bother me too, since this movie pulls this stunt twice, except for two things.

The first time it does it, it’s Selina Kyle. She needs the Clean Slate over time, yes. But for one night as banquet staff likely hired as a temp? She can probably gin up a good fake.

The second time it’s Miranda Tate, head of an enormous terrorist organization with complex ties and buckets and buckets of cash. Who, more to the point, was born completely off the grid. Does it look like there’s a Social Security office down in that hole? Faking an identity is easy where there’s no other identity to find.

Why Would Bane Ship Batman To That Prison?

Gee, I don’t know… he was following orders?

The objective is to break Bruce Wayne’s spirit, here. Yes, it was obviously time-consuming, but Bane obviously had some trusted lieutenants around. This isn’t a bank robbery, it’s a revenge plot. People getting revenge aren’t noted for their precise, rational actions.

More to the point, emotionally and intellectually, Bane is still down in that hole. Something the movie bears down rather hard on is spending a long time in that prison messes with you and this guy probably views being down this hole as his own special hell.

How Does Bruce Wayne Get Back to Gotham With No Resources?

He’s the f***ing Batman. Seriously, if any fictional character could pull this one off, it’s the f***ing Batman. Stop whining.

Why Does The Prison Have A Way Out?

Hey, you see the old guy? The one fixing Bruce Wayne? The one who does nothing but talk about the ? prison, why it’s designed the way it is, and its legends? The one who answers this question when Bruce Wayne asks him about it? THAT GUY?!

He wants you to hang up your cell phone and pay attention to the movie.

Why Isn’t Post-Isolation Gotham A Mess of Riots?

Generally when a bunch of guys with automatic weapons and Batmobiles are patrolling the streets killing anybody who ? them off, city populations tend to stay indoors.

    The Gotham Police Are Incompetent

Well, yeah. Gordon’s a good cop but he’s still cleaning up a corrupt department that suffered heavy losses during the events of The Dark Knight. Eight years is not a lot of time; some screw-ups are bound to slip through. Also keep in mind that we never see that there are any incompetent cops, just cops who aren’t privy to the same information the audience is and ? cops.

    A Non-Sarcastic Postscript

There’s nothing wrong with disliking (or liking) a movie. No movie fits everybody’s idea of a good time. And The Dark Knight Rises is far from perfect, even if it is an excellent movie. It amuses me that I went through pages of rants by professionals and not one asked, at any time, why Bane didn’t just ? all those cops trapped underground.

My problem with the articles I’ve been seeing is that they try to elevate personal dislike or minor errors into a gross artistic mistake. Just like Jim Emerson’s disgraceful video about how The Dark Knight had, like, totally ? editing, this isn’t about the movies. It’s about appointing oneself the supreme arbiter of taste above all those disgusting little plebs.

It’s butthurt, pure and simple. Either Nolan isn’t living the artistic life that critics demand he does so they can vicariously live through him, or he didn’t follow up a classic with nearly freakish connections to the American subconscious with another one.

If you don’t like the movie, fine, but at least give it ? on its own merits.

The only real problem is in this movie is that they tried to put too many things that would easily take up to 2 movies to fill in. Too many new characters cannot be fleshed out in a Batman story in a short 3 hours. Like BB and TDK had a natural feel of progression where characters develop and take their place. DKR just needed a bit more time to flesh out its minor plot inconsistencies. And the ending was rather rushed, too.

Otherwise, it was a suitable conclusion to a legendary series.

This is the exact reason why I didn't post in this thread or the avengers thread. Most of these cats clearly were never into comics/cartoons. Most of these people don't know too much about batman either. After reading a lot of these ? rants I came to this conclusion. THE ? EITHER DON'T KNOW/FORGOT THAT BATMAN IS A ? MOVIE MADE FROM A ? DAMN COMIC BOOK!!!! IT'S FICTION!!! lol. Anybody who been ? with batman for a long time(I have since the late 80's) already knew the answers to these ? ass questions. The worst most asked ? question is the one about how bane and rai's daughter knew batman's identity. The one about robin makes these people hypocrites lol. 1st they ? about a fictional movie defying real life situations here and there. But as soon as something like a few people(out of THOUSANDS) figuring out his identity happens.................reality in this fictional comic book made into a movie doesn't factor in anymore lol.

This reminds me of people that were(and still are) "seriously" wondering why nobody noticed clark kent was superman just because he wore glasses.

My only problem with this film is bane is supposed to be mexican(I'm from cali, everybody who speaks spanish is a mexican to me lol). This ? sounded like german mad scientist. It's hollywood so this is to be expected I guess.

Also, they say this is the last batman. HOW THE ? YOU GONE END IT AND NOT INCLUDE THE GREATEST VILLAIN OF ALL TIME
