Top 20 musicians of all time imo (No order )

    Frank Sinatra
    Tupac
    Nas
    Mariah Carey
    Bob Marley
    Marvin Gaye
    Jimi Hendrix
    The Beatles
    Whitney Houston
    Micheal Jackson
    James Brown
    Bruce Springsteen
    Elvis
    Rick James
    The Temptations
    Al Green
    Aaliyah (YES AALIYAH)
    Madonna
    Stevie Wonder
    Prince

lol at Aaliyah's inclusion...? didn't write or produce her own ? ...? she doin' on this list?

Why would you call a dead woman a ? ?

    Any reason?

And anyway, did you notice that many of the people on his list also did not produce their own music? So why single out Aaliyah?

Yeah R-Kelly and Missy Elliot wrote her music, but wasn't her voice actually a part of that music? One can't coexist without the other.

And with that voice she made some classic records.

You make it seem like she is Katy Perry or something.

So I can call an alive women a ? , but not a dead one?

Singled out Aaliyah because the others made a significantly more telling contribution to music than she did...Like already stated...Beyonce >>

No way Aaliyah should be anywhere near any top 20...even top 50 would be pushin' it...

If Aaliyah's flight made it home safe you think she wasnt gonna blow and get to the next level?

She may have...Or she may have descended into mediocrity...Who knows?...The only ? ' still makin' moves from her time now is Beyonce...Anything could have happened

Aaliyah shouldn't be mentioned at all. Beyonce is smashing her performance and vocally by a TON!

I LISTEN to Sinatra. He wasn't affiliated with that mob ? musically. He was there Vegas cash cow. But he is nice, just not ranked all time musically amongst the elite.

Jay, Nas, and Eminem come to mind as far as living artist. Tupac is the only deceased rapper that could also be top 20 artist all time.

of course they could because these lists are always subjective

the fact that you acknowledge that they don't listen to our music, but still give their "greatest" lists validation is self disrespect in my opinion.

Hip Hop isn't a genre of musicianship but it has taken songwriting to new heights. I would say that rappers who can claim top tier status with artists of other genres are Nas, Jay, Kanye, Outkast, & maybe Pac also.
