Here's a theory that I don't know if already exists, but i've sorta conjured based on watching the show and reading a little on it:

Malcolm in the Middle is not about Malcolm, it's actually about the mother.

The superficial viewing would show you a family of off-the-wall characters that are driven to do weird things or put in odd situations, while looking over the shoulder of their moral compass (their mother). In fact, the show is actually about a mother whose husband has gone undiagnosed with Schizophrenia, and has passed that along to their sons. Hence, all their children have paranoid schizophrenia as well.

Let me take you through son by son.

The father has delusions and acts highly irrationally. Sometimes has visions, and is generally erratic. Whether he has schizophrenia or some other disorder is very clear. That said. He can't hold down a job (hence by the mother works and why their entire house is a mess, and why Hal always looks like a mess). B/c Hal can't hold down a decent job, and Lois works full-time as a cashier (probably with no benefits), they can't afford meds. So all the males in the family are undiagnosed, unmedicated schizophrenics doing the best they can to cope with their symptoms (usually brought on from stress from their life in poverty).

The eldest son, Francis, is supposedly sent away to a military school for bad behaviour. The mother is always telling him that he can't come home. He has to stay there. Yet he's always trying to sneak away (and eventually does). In reality, he's not in a military school, he's in a mental institution b/c he was getting too old for the mother to control and was becoming destructive as a result of his schizophrenia. Lois and Hal heeding warnings to him to not leave are actually them trying to convince him to not leave the mental hospital until his symptoms are controllable. Also, notice how all his younger brothers call him whenever they need advice and things start going really out of control, and yet, Francis comes out of those situations as the level-headed one? It's b/c the mental hospital has his symptoms under control and Francis is better able to cope and dole out similar advice to his brothers. What we see as a military school is actually Francis's visual hallucination of the military school his parents convinced him it was. Similarly, we live through each character on the show, seeing their hallucinations or hearing their hallucinations when they are on screen.

Malcolm's breaking the 4th wall is actually him talking to his imaginary friend. He's a genius savant like Kim Peek (the real Rain Man), and likely suffers from a mild form of FG Syndrome, where he has retardation (sometimes irrational behaviour from a genius savant), hyperactivity (they're all pretty hyperactive). It would also explain his "photographic memory", as Kim Peek read books and had the content pretty much memorized (and Kim Peek was really good with numbers). Malcolm also goes to a special needs school. Hence why his best friend is in a wheelchair, and why Reese goes to the same school.

Reese is a savant like Malcolm as well, but suffers from a combination of paranoid schizophrenia and FG Syndrome, hence why he's a genius when it comes to being destructive, like his eldest brother. Reese also hears voices, and acts highly irrational. He's also a loner and somewhat of a sociopath.

Dewey is younger but has tendencies exhibited in all his brothers. Though his symptoms seem to be milder. He does, however, also have hallucinations (usually we see these as more visual than audio hallucinations).

Most plots for episodes revolve somehow around the mother too. She's not the moral compass (though she is), so much as she's the voice for sanity. Her incessant frustration and yelling is symptomatic of one person trying to be strong for 5 loved ones (possibly 6, if you assume Jamie (the baby) also has some kind of mental disorder), and trying to raise them as normal and as sane as possible.

So Malcolm in the Middle is not a show about some genius kid surrounded by strange people. It's about a mother whose husband has schizophrenia, and has passed it along to all their children, and now has to raise them the best she can in a difficult and untenable situation.

    found this online about Seinfeld:
Kramer had a wife who died.

First, we'd have to assume that the wife died before he met Jerry, which would be plausible as they had not known each other their whole lives. (We see in the last episode the day Jerry and Kramer meet in the same New York apartment they live in throughout the series.)

It would also explain Kramer's seemingly endless source of income. If he married a rich woman (not far-fetched to due his "Keh-vorka"), or if there was some sort of life insurance policy or accident settlement, then there might finally be some semblance of an explanation for his previously inexplicable amount of money. The guy lived for over a decade in a New York city apartment without holding a paying job for more than a week. This would certainly count as some sort of explanation.

Also, his psychology fits the mold of a widow. He has an emotional detachment to women that extends beyond the life of the ordinary New York bachelor. He and his mother were estranged for years. Elaine was probably the woman he was closest to over the course of the series, and there is a later episode where he is unsure of her last name.

His odd habits and weekly fascinations, while entertaining, are indicative of his struggle to occupy his mind. All of his wild projects seem like diversion tactics. Everybody has met that one odd character in their lives who went through some kind of tragedy and never really got right again - Kramer doesn't fit that mold?

His dependency on Jerry is another clue. When taking the sexual relationship completely out of the equation, Kramer and Jerry function a lot like a married couple. They bicker back and forth almost daily. Kramer shares everything of Jerry's and has 24/7 unquestioned access to his apartment and everything he owns. (The show even toys with this idea themselves in the episode where Kramer goes to a job that does not officially employ him.)

We've always known this, and their interaction is probably my favorite part of the show, but the argument can be made that Jerry is partly a replacement for Kramer's deceased wife. He is a substitute for everything that isn't sexual; for the sexual parts, he turns to whatever woman comes along with no real attachment.

#5.Harry Potter Isn't the Chosen One; His Inept Classmate Is
    66067_v2.jpg
In the world of Harry Potter, Neville Longbottom is the resident ? . He's not really good at magic, he constantly forgets stuff -- even Rowling hates him, as evidenced by the fact that she included a synonym for "ass" in his name. Neville only seems to be there so that readers who aren't smart, capable or attractive will have someone to identify with.

However, just like that shy kid from your school who went on to become a porn actor, later books seem to hint that there might be something more to Neville than meets the eye ...

    The Awesome Fan Theory:

Basically, that Harry Potter dude was just a distraction. The "chosen one" was Neville all along.

See, the plot of all seven books revolves around the idea that Harry's life fulfills this prophecy:

"The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord [Voldemort] approaches ... born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the seventh month dies ... and the Dark Lord will mark him as his equal, but he will have power the Dark Lord knows not ... ".

The thing is, all that stuff applies to Neville, too. His parents had thrice defied Voldemort, and he was born on July 30, one day before Harry. So what power does Neville know that Voldemort doesn't? According to the theory, that could be either "the power of love" (as in Harry's case) or "herbology."

The "Voldemort will mark him as his equal" part was a little trickier, but then again it wasn't clear how it related to Harry, either. Neville had a messed up relationship with his parents, mainly due to the fact that Voldemort had them tortured into insanity. Voldemort had some serious mommy issues, too, so in that sense Voldemort made him his equal.

But the best part of the theory, the part that makes it all come together, is the idea that Dumbledore, the principal of Wizard High, was intentionally allowing Voldemort to think Harry was the chosen one just to protect Neville. While we're not saying they should have just ditched Harry in the last book and turned the other kid into the protagonist, it would have been pretty cool to have Harry find out he wasn't the center of the universe after all, if only because it would have made the character slightly less insufferable.

The later books do flirt with the idea, however briefly. And it would have fit right in with Rowling's habit of pillaging the first three books to turn all the one-off magic items and half-serious gags into game-changing MacGuffins.

    What We Got Instead:

Potter fans of the world were treated to a stunning twist ending in which (spoiler!) Harry kills Voldemort, and then a bunch of random stuff happens because ... you know ... wizards. But even before the last book came out, Rowling actually went on the record specifically shooting the fan theory down, perhaps realizing the ending she had already written wasn't as awesome as the one fans imagined and trying to keep them from getting their hopes up.

i thought harry potter should have been called lil white girl cuz she was the only one figuring ? out most of the time.

still waiting on that cosby theory..

    Nothing special but heres one

    The Cosby Girl Theory
    cosby+show.jpg

Growing up as a kid, my favorite sitcom used to be the Cosby Show. As I grew older and my knowledge of the world increased and I kind of strayed a little bit but I would always come back to the reruns. The best thing about the Cosby show was that all the characters seemed to be likable and easy to get along with. When you think of that show in your mind the first thing that comes to your mind is probably that Cliff was a doctor and Claire was a lawyer (yet even though neither was retired they spent an awful lot of time at home) and their kids were all kind of hilarious.

The best thing that show did for me though, was illuminate all the different kinds of women that I've met in my lifetime. You see the main women characters on that show were, Claire, Sandra, Denise, Vanessa, and Rudy. And 90 percent of black women are secretly just like one of these females. Let me expand.

I'll start with Sandra: Sandra is the Anchor Slightly neurotic (but that's forgivable because most women are completely nuts), driven, principled, focused, finds a safe, reliable, man and sticks with him. She is the rarest of all gems because while not quite a carbon copy of her mother she has managed to retain the foundation for forming healthy relationships and does not foolishly cling to her youth. As soon as her character is introduced you can tell that she looks to be seen by her parents as a peer.

Next Denise: Denise is the Whirlwind. She has very little concept of responsibility and rarely considers the consequences of her actions. She is prone to flights of fancy, she is the type to start several books at once and never finish them. Although she is probably an intense lover, her relationships have left a string of foolish men devastated. She may have brief moments where she appears to settle down and embrace a more traditional almost wifelike posture but just as soon as she lulls you into being comfortable she runs away from any sense normalcy. I've seen plenty of Denises in my day and most of them have about 2 or 3 kids.

Then we have Vanessa: Vanessa is the Clay. She is easily molded and shaped by her environment and peers. Trusting and gullible to a fault. Prone to bad decision making and has diaries filled to the brim with regrets. Attracts the worst kind of losers and only the most patient of "good men" will be able to tolerate her constant unhappiness. Even Captain Save A ? himself Dabnus the janitor from Lincoln University couldn't take it anymore. I've come across a Vanessa or two in my day.

Then We Have Rudy: Rudy is the Caterpillar. She is waiting to blossom into a thing of beauty, in her current state very few recognize her true potential. The one who sees the most in her is relegated to the demeaning position of best male friend and has to watch in agony as she goes on her first date with a loser and gets wooed by all sorts of juvenile delinquents while he's stuck messing with girls who will eventually end up on flavor of love charm school.

last but certainly not least is Claire: Claire is The Ideal. She is the fictitious woman that every real woman is overshadowed by. Who can be as smart and as funny as her husband, maintain her looks, be nurturing to her kids, and maintain a successful career? Who can appear dignified and age so gracefully that she can joke about going into Menopause? All her kids didn't turn out to be successes but if that's the yardstick by which you judge motherhood then most mothers come up short. No what truly makes Claire one of a kind, was the ease with which she juggled the complexities of family life. As a mother she knew that her job was to know more about every member of the family then they even knew about themselves and to use this knowledge for good.

Okay so listen it's pretty much impossible for a single woman to be a Claire, if you have Claire-tendencies, hopefully a man will see that in you and bring it out of you. However no one can fault you for being a little selfish and a little me first in today's cutthroat world where the true gentleman are few and the snakes are plenty.

However you Vanessa's and Denise's are doomed. You will never know true happiness until you change your ways. Denises quit being so erratic and Vanessas stop being a victim. You Sandra's are the best thing out there right now. If you are a Single Sandra with no kids, pray that you meet an Elvin. And you Rudy's don't front on the dude that was giving you play back when everybody else thought you were awkward and funny looking. Now that you came out of puberty all sexy, don't pretend like these other jerks are into the real you because frankly they're all just interested in your smoking hot body.

And that my friends is the Cosby Girl Theory of Dating.

My wife was always Sandra... Thats why the dating game been hard for me :(
