@rage in here talking about fandroid when that ? is the only fan in here. Like I said before I had the iPhone 3g, it was fun at first but got wack real quick. No video recorder, you needed to jailbreak and install a special app to send mms. Only thing I like about the iPhone and still do is the music player. Apple releases the exact same phone twice with a software update and a S.

Bruh, thats the first IPhone...it's came along way with the 4 & 4s...

On another note can you US guys loggin to your TV packages and watch TV anywhere using your phone? They have this app over here. I can watch sports channels, movie channels, kids channels etc... that I have on my home tv services via IPhone...just wondered if yall have a similar thing over there....

All told the company pulled in $35 billion in revenue, pocketing $8.8 billion of that as pure profit, a record for both in Q3. But, just cause it wasn't quite as lucrative a quarter doesn't mean the boys in Cupertino aren't happy with the results. Profits were up $1.5 billion from Q3 of 2011, allowing the company to carry forward with its plan to issue a cash dividend to its share holders. During the last three months the company shipped 17 million iPads, an 84 percent increase over the same quarter last year -- a simply staggering number. And don't think that its other premier gadget has plateaued. 26 million iPhones were also sold, representing a 28 percent increase year-over-year.

LOL.....record setting Q3. Apple's the biggest company in he history of companies..stop it.

Jobs denied what is perhaps the most closely held article of faith of the information age: that openness and the wisdom of crowds are essential for successful technological systems. Under his leadership, Apple produced "closed" systems—devices whose basic functions could not be altered—and consumers loved them. "It's not the consumer's job to know what they want," Jobs once famously said. Though an ex-hippie, he proved to be a throwback to an earlier age of top-down leadership: A direct line runs from Henry Ford's Model T to the iPad. To Jobs, Apple's systems are always open—in the sense that their uses can be adapted to an owner's needs and desires. But as iTunes demonstrates, Apple's ability to control the content, the applications, and the purchase opportunities on its mobile devices is far greater than anything carried off by its rivals.

Are you intentionally being dense? Where in that entire paragraph does it say that Steve thinks consumers are "dumb". When you go see a dentist is it your job to know "what you want" or is it his job to evaluate you and tell you what you need? When you go to invest money do you know where you want to invest or is that the job of the financial planner? When you get knocked, do you know what type of legal loop holes your going to use or is the lawyer going to provide that for you?

You are intentionally hating because you think you have some knowledge about technology so everybody else who just wants their computers, phones, etc to just work without having to worry about "rooting" "processor speeds" "screen resolutions" and all that other nerd garbage is dumb. Its no different from a bunch of dentists laughing at you and calling you dumb, because you don't know what kind of ceramic is used in a bridge.

Wow...you do need to stick with the iphone because you are dumb.

RIIIIGHHHTTTT thats why Apple just won a LANDMARK patent infringement case right? Thats why all of Samsung's phone before the iPhone looked like BBs and Razers right? Thats why before the iPhone none of the browsers where webkit based right? None of the phones had pinch to Zoom on pictures, none of the phones had accelerometers and gyroscopes right? On screen controls, on screen scrolling, multitouch screens and gestures. The S3, Galaxy Nexus, Motorola Droid are ALL RIP OFFS the original iPhone.

While everybody else is basically like "I know it's a house now, but didn't it start from a brick? Give that Brick all it's just due. That's the only reason it's such an impressive house. Apple has no other way to beat Samsung so they have to use the law to wear them down. While i personally think it's some snake ? to do from the alleged 'most successful company in the world' especially considering they would have gone belly up had Bill Gates not saved the company, they seem to be doing a good job

Has no way to beat Samsung? All Apple does is beat Samsung....in every single way. iPhone's sales will crush whatever Galaxy S14 or whatever is out. iPad dominates the tablet market, iPod owns the MP3 market, the Mac line outsells whatever Samsung computers are out...so again in what way does Samsung beat Apple??

    ? outta here...

    http://allthingsd.com/20120806/iphone-caused-crisis-of-design-at-samsung-memo/

At the end of Monday in week two of the Apple versus Samsung case, a damning internal Samsung email was admitted into evidence — an email containing charged language from JK Shin, Samsung’s head of mobile communications. In the email, Shin described the difference in user experience between Samsung and Apple smartphones as “a difference between Heaven and Earth.”

Here’s Shin again, on what Samsung could do to catch up from behind:
“I hear things like this: Let’s make something like the iPhone.”
    And again:
“When everybody (both consumers and the industry) talk about UX, they weigh it against the iPhone. The iPhone has become the standard. That’s how things are already.”
    And yet again:
“Do you know how difficult the Omnia is to use? When you compare the 2007 version of the iPhone with our current Omnia, can you honestly say the Omnia is better? If you compare the UX with the iPhone, it’s a difference between Heaven and Earth.”

It’s not pretty. Samsung declined my request for comment.

Samsung's are nothing but bootleg iPhones...you have no ? clue what "snake ? " is.
