Kind of like an integrated thingY?
-
It ain't even about if you don't borrow games it's just the fact they are telling you that you can't. Really what kinda ? is that? So a ? gotta pay 60 for a game that he took from his lil bro bc that ? look dope. M$ ? up the balance of power. I should be able to run my lil bro ? just off the strength that I can and it ain't anything he can do about it.
Sony about to see a big ass increase in revenue come Q4. -
according to IGN, 75% of readers are disappointed with the xbox one, 60% are more likely to buy a PS4 now, 83% want to wait till E3, and 97% think that focus is a ? .

i still cant believe people are saying "F**k this...im copping a PS4" when you dont really know what they are doing either...
Maybe i need to watch their press conference again, but it wasnt like they were spilling the beans either...they were pretty vague and very selective of what they said...someone please correct me if Im wrong...
I do remember them being asked "will the PS4 block used games"...their answer "No"...i mean...technically its not a lie, but you dont know the process that you will have to go through to play a used game...it might be EXACTLY like M$...lol...
Idk...but im just saying...people are too quick to say they jumping ship for the PS and really dont know anything about it..
im jumping ship...but it aint gon be to another console...im going the PC route...i already started picking out my parts..if most of ya'll scared of PCs or intimidated by them, i would suggest you read up on the upcoming "steam box" from Valve that is releasing later this year iirc...it's going to have the form factor of a console but the specs of a gaming PC...there will be 3 versions iirc to go with your budget...at least just read up on it...
but for goodness sakes...stop giving Sony so much credit when you know about as much today as you did when they had their press conference back in March...
The issue with the PC thing is you're not going to have many developers making games that are going to take advantage of the hardware you're using so why bother.... All the best games are still going to consoles so you still lost... Anyone who works on PC games is working at a loss.
There really is no point and you're not cool going the PC route... It's pretty dumb that you're going the route of a PC that maybe 3 games will take advantage of that hardware that you've spent money on, and you don't even know if you'll like the gameplay. -

I can drop some screenshots of Crysis 3, Far Cry 3, and Metro Last Light maxed out as a comparison. -
Call me when pc gets ? of war, heavy rain, uncharted, last of us, etc etc. Hey I heard it's getting mortal kombat soon too. Lol
No ones saying pc doesn't look better than consoles, but thanks to Sony, there are a number of excellent gameAnd experiences that will never see a pc. If you wanna play skyrim or other mod heavy game, by all means get a pc. But I'm 30 too and have hardly any time for games, so I'm sticking with the franchises I know I'm gonna enjoy. -

i respect this reply brah...you like what you like...and tbh..i've never played those games since i chose xbox this gen so i cant speak on that...but the 3rd party titles i have are available on PC so...
but my frustration is mainly geared towards people crowning Sony when their information they've provided hasnt really been anything groundbreaking either...hell...they didnt even show their console and people giving M$ ? b/c they had the ? to do so...
Agree and disagree. The one thing Sony did right was show off games and specs for the launch of their primarily GAMING system. That is what people came to see and that's why they are impressed. M$ showed a cable box that will do the work of equipment people already own. Gaming seems to be secondary. -
You guys do know that there's still the possibility that Sony will incorporate game-to-account linking with fees for PS4 as well, right? Supposedly when asked about that, their reps declined to comment. Just saying it is possible because everyone here seems to assume they won't do this for some reason. I'm not so sure if MS has the ? to go the "anti-used game" route alone this gen since that'll be seen as a huge disadvantage for their machine to PS4 for many people.
-
I already said there was something suspicious with EA coming out saying they were dropping the Online Pass next gen, and that it could be because the consoles will do it for them. Two days later M$ drops the bomb that they are doing it. I'm pretty sure Sony will do it too. 360 was too easily hacked last gen, so this is a preventative measure. Maybe Nintendo isn't doing it and that's why they catching heat.
-
It's absolutely possible Sony will do this too. I don't blame them and nor do I blame ms. I can't remember the last used game I bought so I don't care. I just hope if Sony does do this, they have a set fee, like $10 or something. Maybe this may cause the price of used games to drop a little, but who knows. I'm more concerned about what redbox and gamefly will be doing. Not that I use either for games, but it'll be interesting to watch.
-
I understand what people are saying with the pre-owned fee as that kind of turned me off too. but MS did say the game will be playable under your account regardless of which console u signed on to. and i always have a habbit of asking people what's their gamertag so i can add them. so lets say i did borrow a game from one of my ? , couldnt i just ask him for his profile info and it would be playable on my system without forking over cash?
-

From what they're saying now, yeah.

I don't think Sony will be as extreme as Microsoft is being with their used game policy. There may be a fee, but I don't think there will be a full charge for a game.
If there is, well, then so be it. I'm not a huge buyer of used games, but I do buy them when they're old titles.
They will more than likely have an online store where you can rent, buy and sell your ? .
I don't blame them either. These companies and devs don't get to capitalize off the used game market like GameStop does. I don't see GameStop being around in the next 10 years.
They're taking the used game market into their hands.
Now, if you get a game and play it on your X-One system, what happens? Does it register under the account or system? Because some households share systems under different accounts. So it would be unfair to two brothers who enjoy the same game, to be forced to buy two copies.
Also, I heard that if one person has the game, and you let someone else have it, not only do they have to full whatever price it is for that game currently, but it would some how uninstall that game from your system as well. Is this true? -
Man when I play 2k...a ? not trying to click no damn mouse to. Shoot or press tab to steal.
PC=schoolwork, porn, and Sports.
? gaming on that ? . To much hacking and viruses into them games anyway. -
Gamestop has confirmed that PS4 and XB1 games will be tradeable. It's also been rumored that the PS4 will not have any kind of general online pass system.

wow...you sound very shortsighted...
1)...at 30 years old...i dont play as many games that i used to play when i did when i was 20...hell even at 27...
2) every game that I own, is made on the PC...2k basketball on PC >>> console any day of the week...bball is the only sports title i play and there has been no indication that they will discontinue developing for the PC so...
3) mod communities for games....just look at skyrim...the devs basically jacked what the mod community had been doing with the game since release, bundled it up and sold it as DLC..
4) games are cheaper...with Steam, you can always find great deals on games...so no more paying $60 dollars for games that arent worth $60. The PC devs realize a sale is better than no sale...more people are inclined to buy games if there is a price point they feel is worth it to them...you dont have that option per se with consoles...sure you can buy a game used from gamestop...but whats really the difference between $59.99 and $54.99?
5) im not trying to clown anybody tbh...im just trying to bring awareness to the conversation...it just seems like the talk is to just go to Sony when you really still dont know anything about how they are going to handle used games. Sure they might not have a camera that you always have to have on...but it just appears people are just spouting off stuff without fully putting things into perspective...
Lol u have no idea actual developers will tell you console gaming sells better than PC gaming you're fooling yourself and just flat out lying if you think anything different...

It seems like linear recognizes the user that's signing in so I don't think that's possible. -

Why don't you find them you can go on YouTube and type in maxed out... -
Show me all the games that look soo much better on PC Crysis looks nice but It doesn't turn me away from a console nor has it turned others away...
I hear people like A12 who say they are going to PC gaming but they never do I have friends who are PC gamers have Alienware computers and have some sick PCs but they really don't like the games on the PC and only play 1 or 2 games.... It's all talk. -

Who would want to buy any used game? Lets say they buy a new used game @ $55, then when they go home and play, the system will recognize it as a used game, which will then charge them for the new game as $60-$65.
Why pay more?
Buying new games at GS can still work, but the trade in ? won't. -

I also read that the above will be true, but only the retailer will be able to de-activate the game via Microsoft's registry and be ready to be activated on another (trade-in). That way used games will be in rotation without users having to pay full price every time the game is resold...which sounds a lot ? better.
But I definitely see problems happening with this like games not being properly deactivated and people coming home from Gamestop ? that their system is asking for $49.99 to install their newly purchased used game. Then there's also the multiple console in the household issue that you brought up too...I'm one of the ones who has more than one of the same system in the house (bedroom and living room) and I rotate them quite often. It'll be interesting to see how this pans out. -
