I dont even ? with him like that, but he's been on enough cyphers and always placed last out of respect, when there are so many dope-as-hell mc's on the same song. That alone should signify the respect his peers give him.

Just think about the last time KRS wasn't allowed to go last.

Besides, Krs gets this hand-over-fist just off the strength of a few songs for me:

    and in terms of cyphers

.joints off the last KRS album I heard
    ? a rapper
    http://youtu.be/QfaXIPZhMnQ

    Hip hop lives
    http://youtu.be/FadzGGJiLTg

    House of hits
    http://youtu.be/eJeBQ2Z7TUs

For this ? to still be doing this ? at that level all this time is crazy. This album w/ Marley Marl is just bout 6 years old.

He still in his lane, doing dope ? . I don't even know if he still releasing material but for a ? to have "fallen off" in the 90s he still seems sharp as hell to me.

? brought busy bee old ass out and dropped a dope record. Dope is dope, ? age, what ageist kids listen to dope is dope

KRS one is overrated and to tell y'all ? the truth I be giving the eh face every time his name is brought up into a legends conversation. He don't have any bangers. He never won any rap battles. Shan crushed him on ? that noise and KRS 1 was to shook to go at Juice Crew. Craig G showed up to the Apollo to battle KRS and he left out the back door. I never liked KRS 1 or BDP. They seemed liked a low budget knock off P.E.

this is almost like comparing busta rhymes to rakim....

I mean both are dope, but you talkin about two totally different lanes... two totally different styles of rap.

88Mike Tyson vs. Bruce Lee lol.. I mean it's like apples and oranges... what do you like better shrimp or pizza? ? I like both.

That ? in that Bruce Lee thread was some of the stupidest ? I ever read, unless your putting gloves on Bruce and in a boxing ring with boxing rules then it's not even worth debating, it's not close, there's no maybe if this happened or that happened, Tyson wouldnt even get a jab in

damn it's ? up you missed the entire point I was trying to make. I mean damn out of all that ? I typed all you got out of it was a comparison I made between two good fighters in both of their respective sports? you ignore the point so much just to analyze that. c'mon homie, if you can appreciate both then what is the problem? that's all I was trying to say.

I don't think there's ever been a case in music regardless of genre where longevity does not showcase the greatness of an artist. Yet just because KRS is a "pioneer" or whatever you want to call him, he gets some type of pass when compared to an MC like 40. I'm going to have to agree with T/S

It's funny to me cuz the same people making these arguments against E-40 are the ones to make the regional classic argument against the south but what's funny is they're falling on the swords of their own arguments. The regional classic argument is equivalent to the time/era argument. For example, KRS One is an artist that reflects a particular time but wasn't able to adjust to the passing of eras. MCs like E-40, The Roots, etc. are greater because they aren't stuck in a particular time. They don't date themselves. They're able to adjust and reach out to new listeners across different times. All of the great artists in music of any genre do not date themselves, some instances even in death.

blasphemy. so much blasphemy in this thread. may the hip hop gods have mercy on your eardrums.

i rox wit 40 but he been on some quantity over quality sh*t for the past few years and in all honesty he hasnt put a above par album since 95. i wouldnt dare call him overrated but it is what it is.

& ? in here acting like kris wont eat a rappers lunch on the mic at his ripe old age.

yall gotta chill with this region hate sh*t. remember that east v. west thing was a media ploy.

i respect KRS for what he did, but i ain't checked for any of his music since..........i would have to search to find some old ? .

40 been relevant and been putting people on to eat for years. that ? bridging the gap between old school and new school. even that ? son dropping dope ass ? and making dope beats.

I respect both artists. I grew up thinking that KRS was an all time great, and I still give him his props. I think that his arrogance and ego turn a lotta people off, but to say he's not a legend is ? . 40 water gets props due to the fact that that ? is a game spitter that has survived n this industry for over 20 years. & The man is a unbelievable hustle and that can't be denied. @ gunpoint I gotta go wit KRS due to his lyrical ability.
