Maybe not, but it was a race-relations wake up call for the whole country

that's the only thing good out of all this. like George carlin said "its bad for ya." all of it is. from the 70's on up it was never good. as for the 2010 era its all faggoty attention ? the vines the instagrams the the selfies the blogs the reality shows. for example that gospel talent show with Yolanda adam and Donnie mcclerkin judging. all these faggoty ? auditioning with sugar in their tanks. then theres the skinny jeans and the swag which started around '08. this faggoty turn up music gets on my nerves also also this generation is sensitive as ? . commiting suicide over cyber bullying. these kids are charmin soft. gotdammit drop and give me 10 right now ya wusses!

i'll say this tho...everything in the 90's wasn't good (most of it was who the ? are we kidding)..but if that's the time you grew up in, you have a memory attached to everything - even the wack and/or corny ? . something could be suuuuper wack but you'll rep that ? cuz you grew up with it.

i loved the backstreet boys when i was younger & i will still listen to them now & appreciate my childhood. but you can't tell me ? about no one direction or 5 seconds of summer cuz as an adult i have no time for generic corny pop ? from pre pubescents.

The 2000s weren't as bad as people make them out to be. 2000 - 2005 was cool and my biggest beef with the 00s is the death of socializing. Everything moved online, the Internet dumbed people down and a lot can't hold a conversation in real life if their life depended on it.

    From 87,

obviously your money was worth more and privacy/social interaction was better in the past but hey....not like I really know any better then these last 26 something years...

its been continous, during highschool, early 2000s, the Whole week(end), year cycle etc faded for me. Living abroad now, where my money is worth more then in the 90s, with all the luxury from today...

but yeah, feeling as ? Gandalf now when Im typing this, but western society has changed for the worst.

right now, scientists in Holland(and also in Canada I believe). Have the Cure for cancer....for ? real. A Charity org is trying to get enough money for funding(insurance companies want a patent/money, Dutch government n EU ain't funding ? )...

    nobody gives a ? .

we live in an egocentric era, an era of indifference. Were consumerism/whatever petty ? that occupies Peoples lifes is more important then human advanced.

and it was the freedom and prosperity of the 90s that got us here.

It's hard to explain why the 90s were so much better than the 00s and 10s. To be honest, the most fun period of my life was the 00s since that when I was in college and grad school, but even in the midst of having fun in the 00s everyone I knew basically felt like there was a decline. It's weird. That said, the 00s were a good decade. I didn't really appreciate that until we got to the 10s though. The events, styles, major figures of this decade are just plane wack. The 00s looks a lot better in comparison. The only thing good about this decade is the technology.

You do know there is a pretty diverse set of ages that post on this site right. It's grossly incorrect to say 90% of the people on here were kids in the 90s.

I have a feeling in 5 or 10 years people will appreciate the 2010's. MARK my words and I think this decade can be better than the 90's and 00's. I know i'm gonna get NOSIGNED and WACKED for that comment. I don't care that's how a niga feels lol.

2000 babies be like "mannnnn summer break was fun ass hell, I was just chilling in the house from sunrise to sunset, playing Xbox one, watching Netflix movies & browsing the Internet & social media"

I remember in the 90s when we had to "check in" just to let our parents or grandparents know that we was still alive. I think everybody i know check in time was at 12pm. A ? will be like "I be back I gotta go check in" Go home to check in, eat for about 10 minutes & go right back out the day. Shooting ball at the center or someone might have a movable basketball goal to play on then might go play flag football & at the same time, messing with the local bops in our hood.

Like I previous stated, its crazy how we had to check in but parents these days tell their kids to go outside

I agree the early 2000 was good. 2000-2006 (around 06 but it might be 05) that everything was neutral.

@bolded, what these kids know about going to the mall, skating rink, club etc on a Friday night with a pencil & paper, posted up & trying to see how many numbers they can get at the end of the night. ? use to try to come with the best game to pull them hoes in the 90s but nowadays, everything is on the Internet & all you gotta do is click on a bish inbox. These kids nowadays will sweat bullets if they had to walk up to a girl & attempt to get her number

and, in 2014, you can be in a group with 5 or 6 people, and when the conversation dies down, everyone on their phones doing random ? whit an awkward silence

Active wit their fingers on a touch screen or on xbox sticks.

I honestly couldn't tell u da last time I seen lil girl's outside playing double dutch, hop scotch, playing hide n seek with da boys. I don't see boys playing 2 hand touch football in da street or tackle football on da neighborhood grass no more. I could go on and on but I'll stop.

That's why obesity in children is at an all time high, they not active.
