My boy told me yesterday that Cena might finally be turning shortly after his return. Idk If this ? happening ? he don't be on his ? like we do with the news and I haven't heard that ? anywhere. Besides they always say this ? turning n he never do.
It's about 5 years too late to have the impact it could've had, but id still be interested.
He shoulda did like Kane said and embrace the hate.

It wasnt just on him. It was on the company. Instead of turning him heel and creating new storylines in the process. they drained every bit they could out of him as a babyface draw til they couldnt draw anymore. The promos could've been legendary. Tho it wouldnt have the same impact, it could've been like Hogan in 96. It wouldve still been memorable.

TNA Seeking Out New Investors To Get Cash Infused Into The Company

Last night, Mike Johnson broke the news at PWInsider.com that TNA has been actively seeking out new investors for the company as of late, which TNA Executive Vice President,Creative & Talent Relations John Gaburick confirmed. “TNA has been in in strategic partnership talks with several major global media companies and investment firms about the company’s next phase of growth,” adding that “TNA CEO Dixie Carter has talked in recent media interviews about the company’s execution of its 5 year growth plan” and “It’s a very exciting time for TNA.” Gaburick also confirmed that Dixie Carter had spent a lot of time in New York and Los Angeles as of late for meetings.

On last night’s Wrestling Observer Radio podcast for F4WOnline.com subscribers, Dave Meltzer said that he didn’t have much in the way of details other than that “It’s up for sale.” It wasn’t entirely clear if he just meant shares or trying to sell outright, but he took a fairly negative point of view since it’s not like TNA is in good shape right now and they’re losing their biggest name star, Kurt Angle.

Johnson followed that up this morning with a “frequently asked questions” type of article where he addressed some key elements of the story:

Panda Energy, the Carter family’s main company, is no longer financing TNA, and the belief is that they haven’t been since Jeff Jarrett’s minority stake in the company was bought out last year. Panda may still own TNA on paper, but paychecks that used to come from Panda’s Texas offices are now coming out of TNA’s Nashville, Tennessee offices.
The newer international TV deals, like with Sony Six in India, are enough to keep the company afloat, but not enough to make TNA a “player,” and Dixie Carter wants TNA to be a “player” in the pro wrestling business. right now.
Johnson has heard that interest in buying into the company has been shown by a United Kingdom based group of some kind, with TNA also having meetings in New York and Los Angeles, “including meetings at the Pop network.” It’s not clear if he means Pop was showing interest in buying to TNA or just that some of the meetings could have been routine meetings with Pop.
The company isn’t necessarily for sale, with every source specifically telling Johnson that they’re looking for partners, but theoretically, if “the right offer came along,” it’s not like they’d dismiss it out of hand. Of course, TNA has turned down offers to sell in the past, with one (from a group led by Jeff Jarrett and Hermie Sadler) getting close but not going through when Bob Carter insisted that Dixie must continue to have an onscreen role. Jarrett and Sadler pulled out of the deal because they felt that was dictating creative direction as part of the sale.
It doesn’t seem like TNA is in good shape right now, especially if Panda Energy is no longer funding them. That said, they’ve pulled a rabbit out of their hat before, so it wouldn’t be a huge shock if they found a strategic partner.

Alistair Overeem made quite the splash when he made his UFC debut in 2011 with a first-round TKO victory over Brock Lesnar in what was ultimately the former heavyweight champion's final fight inside the Octagon.

Despite Lesnar staying retired from MMA for the past four years while returning to WWE and his professional wrestling roots, his name still comes up from time to time in the fight community. Most notably on Friday at a Q&A in London when Overeem was asked about giving Lesnar a rematch at some point down the road.

"The Brock Lesnar fight?" Overeem said with a smile on his face. "Maybe one day in WWE -- when I retire from real fighting."

Is Brock ready for pt. 2 of that fade?

I believe Cena had his heel gear already made and creative, of course, changed their minds about him turning heel. When Cena got his money back from wwe, he used it for a scholarship for nxt wrestlers

I've always felt that the WWE wouldn't turn Cena heel until they found their heir apparent to Cena as the top face. And if the reports are true and Reigns is that guy, then now would be a perfect time to turn Cena heel. But I feel that a Cena/Reigns match should happen at a WM, and the WWE isn't patient enough these days to let it marinate and build to a Mania, they'd do it at MITB or some ? .

    What you talking about?

As noted yesterday, TNA is currently in talks with outside investors, and Dixie Carter has been taking meetings recently to discuss the future of the company.

With regards to why TNA is seeking outside investors, it’s simply because the company wants to expand, and the current financial situation is not allowing it to do so. The company has had to cut back on office space in recent months, and has also cut certain talents who were supposed to appear on the most recent UK tour. As the company stands right now, it might be making enough money to keep it afloat, but it’s not enough money to turn a longterm profit. So partnering up with an investor who could take a percentage of the company might help TNA realize the 5 year plan Dixie Carter reportedly has in place.

With regards to Panda Energy, which used to fund TNA Wrestling, it’s being said that while Panda might remain an owner in name, it no longer funds TNA and is not actively involved in any aspect of TNA operations. All operations and paychecks are said to be coming directly out of Nashville at this point, and it appears as if Panda stopped funding TNA back when Jeff Jarrett’s minority stake in TNA was bought out.

As for whether or not TNA is for sale, sources in TNA are being careful to note the company is seeking investors at this time, and the company is not for sale. That does not mean, however, that Dixie Carter would not at least consider selling the company if the right money offer was made. TNA executive John Gaburick, however, has repeatedly said TNA is looking for a “strategic partner”, not a new owner, and Dixie Carter has turned down sale offers in the past.

At this point anyone can write a better storyline than WWE and outsell it. If you have a group of non bias, non racist ppl, you'd be surprised. They can hire NXT wrestlers and many WWE wrestlers would jump ship instantly. Dolph, Wade, Punk, Bryan, Jay Lethal, Apollo Crews....

Kurt Angle participated in a Q&A at the London Film And Comic Con event on Saturday. Here is a recap of his comments from Reddit user SCFack:

He seems very keen on a return to the WWE on a part time basis. He expressed interest in a Team Angle reboot with Jordan and Gable. He said this would allow them to wrestle regularly in his place and he could just work the PPVs

He cites Chris Benoit as the best wrestler he has faced. He said it was like wrestling himself

He wanted to wrestle Daniel Bryan during his eventual comeback. He knows Bryan's doctor and said he was told Bryan wasn't healing how he should be.

He likes Roman Reigns, but feels he should turn heel since the crowd boo him. He understands the crowd's frustrations.

He said Vince wanted him to be serious from the get go. Bryan Gerwitz was writing all the comedy for him early on as well as for Edge and Christian and The Rock. He really put over Gerwitz. The character he played after he was shaved bald was what Vince wanted from the start.

The medals he wore at the start of his run were from Elementary School. This includes the ones Austin threw in the river. After about 3 years Vince had duplicates made of the Olympic medals. They had three and they cost $3000 each. One was stolen, Kurt has one and one is in the WWE warehouse.

He said bringing back Shane McMahon was the best thing WWE have done in 5 years. He said for Shane to come back after what happened he must "really love his family".

It's just a bad business move to invest in tna now, they can barely get TV, and that's huge for a wrestling program. How they gonna expand? How? They have no talent.

TNA should have been sold in 2010. I give Dixie credit for hanging in there because this is her baby but she should know that she doesn't have the acumen to grow that company.

They just choosing the wrong stations. ? MTV, VH1, Starz would pick them up if they have the right creative team behind them and wasn't so whitewashed. WWE has history behind it but like lucha underground, imagine if black ppl started taking the initiative and marketing storylines behind this. Someone can go to another major African American investor and reinvigorate something bigger. We already own the entertainment industry rappers, comedians, actors would gladly make guest appearances and minorities of every race would show support. Diversify the champions and talent would be worldwide instead of segregated to one race.
