I don't know if you're serious with this comment or not. You might argue that Dreads with any kind of cultural significance originated in Africa. However, anybody who thinks that white people just started rocking that matted hair look is crazy. There was a long period in Europe where people went months without bathing let alone washing their hair. The dreads as white people wear them ain't ? but matted unwashed hair, and given their history I seriously doubt the ones doing it in the modern era are the first to do it. -

Dreds occur from not combing the hair. Washing white dreds don't make them unravel. I used to be friends with a white chick with dreds.
