Haven't posted here in a minute but shout out to T/S for this thread. I've used Cakewalk, Logic and Audacity in the past, but I've been ? with plain ol' Garageband a lot lately...

I chopped up this video for this track I produced for my mixtape I'm trying to finish by the end of the year... Holla at me if you need some video editing done... The audio is only coming out of one channel, but that was because of a glitch the video software and not the track... also....

Here's a good facebook group for finding samples:

anyone can join it^
And to kick things off, what are your top 10 producers and why?

2) The Neptunes (musicality, minimalism, composition, songwriting, use of hardware)
3) No ID (sampling, versatility, digging)
4) Just Blaze (sampling, drums)
5) Organized Noize/Earthtone III (versatility, musicality, songwriting, creativity, live instrumentation etc)
6) RZA (sampling, innovation)
7) DJ Premier (drums, encyclopedic vocal samples, digging)

? nothin really....except I'm running fl on parallels and its been great. but now I'm gettin more out of the box with production so the interface I'm using can only be used to either mac or my parallels at one time. recording into parallels has been too much of a headache tho because its not as simple as i thought, im sure i could overcome it, but since i got an mac im like i may as well try to convert all the way over to make it a bit more seamless work flow. if this ? dont work out ima just figure out how to record via parallels (on XP, yea i KNOW) . Its really just FL's sequencer that i dont wanna let go. But i think i can remedy that with an mpc or some ? idk yet. -
another rare sample attempt, im most proud of this one tho, its Alice In Chains-Don't Follow

yeah MPDs are probably better than the maschine and MPCs if you just wanna use it as a controller.
