40 water still has a following and is still pumping out albums; lets not forget the classic Clique album he dropped. You'd be hard pressed to find anyone checking for a KRS One album.

40 water is my guy and he got a few classic albums imo.. but krs is a godfather not just cause he was out first but songs like "you must learn, why is that, and criminal minded" are real history and turning points in the game. krs put knowledge on wax.... 40 put game on wax.

Another overrated pioneer. He was Dope, but overrated. Longevity and speaking too many generation is a awesome accomplished. How many artist have come n gone sinced E-40 got that Jive deal? My dad listened to E-40, I listen to E-40, I see teenagers listening to 40. KRS is linked to One Era. We could talk bout whos better or we could go stat for stat.

based on what 40 has spit on wax just from a game/life perspective... if he was one of the guys from Brooklyn who spit that same game, able to get his point across through rhyme saying what he says just strictly from a game perspective, if 40 was from Brooklyn you'd see all these guys putting him in their top rappers category.
40 aint gone give you the cookie cutter punchlines but he's vicious. -

Nah, in NY they bump KRS every once in awhile till this day when they do the DJ mix ? . His ? was always dope. He was on the street knowledge tip that dudes praise Nas for. Black Cop, 9mm, Sound of the Police etc.
But all ? aside, KRS would embarrass E-40 in any category of emceeing. To me KRS is better than all of those commercial ? y'all ? praise... even now. Dude was the definition of a dope emcee. People just don't like him because they consider him arrogant.
Flow, lyrics, delivery, spit off the head, battle ? , substance, unique, original, rock the crowd etc. Few emcees have the whole package like sun. -

Real talk, E-40 would get thrown off the stage back in KRS' day. Dude's voice and flow is extra weak. ? would get the Sandman treatment quick.

KRS's still good till this day. He didn't fall way off like some of these other emcees.
