good ? riddance
The New Orleans Saints appear to have parted ways with veteran cornerback Brandon Browner, who strugged through his one and only season with the team.

Woooooow -
Man dude was a team and locker room guy plain and simple. Players and Coaches loved him.
-
Marques Colston cut
awesome saint
shame injuries got the best of him the last couple of seasons -
Damn Colston was my favorite!
-
Time catches up with them. Colston's body just couldnt produce in the system anymore. him and Pierre Thomas are two of my favorite modern Saints.
-
Payton getting an extension with 2 more years left on his deal coming fresh off 2 str8 back to back losing seasons, organization must be really trying to take proactive steps to shut up all the national media speculation instead of letting ? drag out to the last minute like they used to do things.
-
I'm fresh out of county jail and found out Colston got cut.
He's in the Saints HOF. -
So we got Payton for another 5 years. I'm not surprised he is staying.
I hope ? changes because everything about this team is becoming stale. -
New Orleans Saints sign DT Nick Fairley
The New Orleans Saints have signed defensive tackle Nick Fairley to a one-year contract, the team announced Monday.
Fairley, 28, visited New Orleans earlier this month, and also had reported interest from the New York Jets, New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles.
Fairley will likely get the first chance to fill the role held by veteran Kevin Williams in 2015 as the starting three-technique defensive tackle in the base defense.
A native of Mobile, Ala., Fairley played college ball at Auburn and was selected by the Detroit Lions with the No. 13 overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft.
In four seasons with the Lions, he played in 46 games, making 13.5 sacks and 98 tackles.
Fairley signed a one-year, $4.75 million contract with the St. Louis Rams last March. He played in 421 snaps off the bench last season (36 percent), registering 29 tackles and half of a sack.

Great pick up!
-
One year contract for not that much. I am cool with it. They still need to get a DT in the draft.
-
saw the saints gotta take out a payday loan to pay these people
-
Extend Brees out on that 30 million and they are straight. Anything else and they might as well mail in the remaining years by drafting a whole new crew.
-
RIP Will Smith!! Crazy that I'm typing that!
-
That's some crazy ? what happened to Will Smith, dude that shot him and his wife is a punk and a coward!
-
I told y'all TA was an ELITE LT and he showed y'all and got rewarded for it.
-
what y'all think of our possible defense lineup?

Bobby Richardson and John Jenkins barely need to see the field except for goal line packages
-
As for the offense I'm kinda anxious to see how Michael Thomas is gonna do in this offense, he has the physical tools and skill set of Marques Colston but he's still fast enough to be used as a vertical threat off the double move if the defender just tries to sit on all of his short routes, I think with more opportunities Coby Fleener will help but i don't fully believe he will live up to the value of his contract, barring injury or just flatout suckiness his rookie year i think Michael Thomas is gonna end up being the designated red zone target which won't help Fleener, we'll see tho
-
He's def not fast. He never ran away from college DBs so he ain't gon do it in the NFL.
But in this offense you don't have to be fast to go vertical. I.E. Colston. -
Never said he was Brandin Cooks fast, but he runs a 4.5 40, I think that's fast enough to beat corners biting on double moves if they get caught playing with sloppy technique, his highlights on YouTube shows him running pass college corners with that double move for TDs and taking short routes and turning them up the field for bigs gains and TDs

Someone said his ceiling is TO, is floor is a poor man's Colston -

That's due to the read option.
He's a total possession WR with no quick twitch moves and average footwork and great hands
He's a big body WR that will be a up the seem and RedZone threat -

Either way, if he performs as expected he should help replace the production Colston and then Graham used to give us in the red zone, I think that's the most important thing because who was our designated redzone target last season? Ben Watson? -
