let everyone be crystal clear on what happened here:

    1) neither this nor rick ross, were free speech issues. free speech is when government outlaws you from speaking about things. a private company can do whatever they want

    2) ross was not fired for ? lyric and wayne was not fired for disrespecting emmett till. it is because both of these dudes played it off like it was no big deal and then issued apologies that weren't really apologies. if ross or wayne has simply said on the first day the blogs blew these stories up, "i am sorry for my words. I made a big error in judgment, i do not condone ? (disrespecting emmett till) i will donate money to ? foundation (NAACP) and i will make efforts not to ever cross this line again" then everything would be fine.

but they put on that cool hood ? stance, trying to play it cool. "i aint apologizing" is what they first said. then they kept up with that ? . no fortune 500 company is going to stand up for someone being so brazen. this is why they were let go. not cause of the line itself, it was their poor follow-up.

How did Wayne getting dropped improve race relations in America? Is that ? ass family close to getting justice for that boy or are they still looking for another handout. It's cool. At the end of the day Wayne is alive and ? white ? that emmitt till could only dream about.

I'm just trying to figure out why the tills did this hating ass ? . Wayne didnt put the ? song out himself. They were to ? to go at universal so they went directly at the artist. That's ? . ? the tills. Emmitt should of had the burner on him. I don't see a civil rights icon I see a simp ? who died over white ?

like I said....you ? are remedial....never once did I say Wayne should be censored....never once did I say Wayne doesn't have the right to say what he wants.....never did I say Wayne had his rights justifiably infringed upon....in fact I said the direct opposite....I said he does have the right to say whatever he wants....did you read the post or just skim through it?.......see what you fail to realize in your blind support that there are two coins to the whole Freedom of Speech rights...Wayne exercised his right to spit that weak, disrespectful, and ignorant line and thats cool....but on the flipside the Till family exercised their rights and voiced their displeasure....also when you spit some ? ? like that people are gonna call you out on it and if your only defense is the whole Freedom of Speech ? is the only thing to fall back...your Public Relations Team has to shift into overdrive.....yes....Wayne had the right to say it...but it was still ignorant, disrespectful and in poor taste.....and just as he has the right to say it....people have a right to be upset and also and the freedom of speech to voice their disapproval

Im tired of the old generation of black ? blaming all of America problems on hip hop. How did they manage to hear the line? Oh through nationwide distribution from universal media. They are the peddlers of this ? line not Wayne. Wayne didnt put the ? song out himself. Universal and epic making more money off karate chop than Wayne so they need to go at universal records. ...Rap music...Your final judgement day awaits...

That pick and choose nature of who to go at is why some will never take these protest seriously because it's more about not liking Wayne than actually having an issue with what he said

No matter how u slice it, Wayne deserves whatever consequences that he has to face for that blatant level of disrespect.. the ? needed to be brought back down to earth, period. Pepsi took the public backlash seriously, and thats all that matters. By the way, ur point is stupid as ? .

ok let me see if i understand your point. you saying its okay for wayne to say bad things about "old ? " (who died for lil wayne's rights, by the way), but it is not okay for the "old ? " to say bad things about what lil wayne says?

so in essence u are saying its okay to say foul ? about emmett till's and rosa parks and malcom x's but it is NOT okay to say bad things about lil wayne in response?

It seems like this is what you are ultimately saying, and if thats the case, then you need to ask urself if perhaps you are hanging on wayne's nuts a little too much.

did pepsi drop nicki too? remember they signed her too but not much came outta that..
BREAKING NEWS: NICKI MINAJ ALSO DROPPED FROM PEPSI

    Pepsiland, California.

    nicki-minaj-mad-2012-07-25-300x300.jpg
    Minaj's reaction to being dropped.

This just in; after fellow labelmate and Young Money bossman Lil Wayne was dropped by Pepsi for his terrible lyrics, it seems Nicki Minaj is now facing the same fate, but for a different reason. According to Pepsi, "After a year or so of watching Nicki Minaj's music videos on mute, one intern accidentally unmuted the sound and we were shocked by what we heard. Never would we endorse an artist with such terrible music. We had no choice but to take our money back and drop her from the team."

    nicki-minaj-on-american-idol-april-3-lead.jpg?w=600
Minaj shows support for Pepsi's longtime rival Coca-Cola, in between bouts with T.D.A. (Top Diva Around) Mariah Carey

In response, Minaj had this to say, "Pepsi is like Mariah Carey, old, washed up, and stop being relevant in the 90's. Me and Coca-Cola are the best around and always will be. Call me Dj Khaled cause WE. ARE. THE. BEST." Minaj went on to rant for another 30 minutes, but because of her constantly changing to strange accents, referring to herself in the 3rd person, and make strange noises throughout the entire rants we could not understand enough to quote what she said. Even our top translators who formerly worked for the government could not understand the strange language this woman was speaking.

What people want to see more of from Miss Minaj.

Although Nicki Minaj referenced Coca-Cola in her interview as if they were her new sponsors, they had this to say, "Even though our competition has gone on record to say that Miss Minaj's music is, as they called it, "complete doo doo grits on the sidewalk on a hot summer's day" we do not openly share this opinion. We are not currently sponsoring Nicki Minaj, but would consider it if she made a career change to porn."

Obviously Wayne and some of you in here were never taught this rule as a child: If you say or do something wrong, you face the repercussions.

If wayne doesn't have enough sense to say "alright, this might be too far" then losing the endorsement is on him. he could've easily said "beat that ? like sucker punch" on some lame punchline like he always, he could've name dropped a boxer, or some other ? .

You gotta look at this from the business's point of view too. They need the public to buy their product. If they're standing behind rappers that have lyrics implying they're drugging women, or comparing sex to emmitt till, that is going to ? the public off and make them look bad. Now they might only ? a small group off, like the women who were protesting about ross' lyrics, but then that spreads to other people who hear about it, and then that's a large portion of a company's customers ? off at them.

Now if all these people start boycotting the company that hurts the company, that's why it's better for them to just cut their loses and end the deal. but they have to do it quick, cause if they wait too long the damage will already be done. If reebok or pepsi took their sweet time like ross and wayne did with their "apologies" it could completely ruin the companies' reputations. and as some of you may or may not know, reputation carries you a long way.

I bet 95% of you that are defending wayne (except tomp, im pretty sure you're mexican) wouldn't feel the same way if it was a white rapper that said that line. would you?

He didnt say nothing foul about him. He actually telling the truth emmitt got beat. What's so wrong or disrespectful about that? I mean if the family keeps on reviving the ? played out sob story over and over we might as well call it as it is. Yes he got beat so Wayne didnt say anything disrespectful. He has a right to say whatever he wants in his lyrics. Once again if they felt so bad about the line they should of went at universal instead of Wayne. Like if anybody give a ? about Mountain Dew dropping Wayne. There are more opportunities out there for him because Wayne is a PROGRESSIVE southerner instead of living in the past like a ? ? scared of white folks like the Tills.

@four9erbosspimp this is for you too since you can't seem to comprehend...Everyone always promotes the "I give no ? " attitude but nobody wants the consequences. It's not just Wayne and Ross you see it in ? people say everyday. Bragging about not caring about how people react to ? they say then acting surprised when there's real consequences for their actions. As fans we can't condone that ? , promote that ? , then act surprised when accountability is forced on you for what you say/do in life.
