That shared game business went straight over my head. Everywhere I looked I was being swamped with PS4 propaganda and bitter cheap ? .

Now back to a generation of Clone Wars... I think in time some of the features MS was implementing could have been good for gaming.

But it had nothing to do with the people. You had idiots like focus actually hoping that Sony would do the same thing. Imagine if they did then DRM would be the future. This proves that MS is a ? company because this time they could not bully their competitors and have their way. Anyone who supports MS is a ? chump point blank period. I can't believe the morons that took up for the whole DRM and always online thing to begin with.

? why because they wanted to change the game a bit instead of putting out a new system with updated graphics??? Putting money in Devs pockets is never a bad move...the online thing was prob the only they needed to change...

I think by next gen (around 2020) when all of the US (biggest XB market) is expected to have broadband access the world will finally be ready for that.

Well that's encouraging news. I'm glad don mattrick and company realized how stupid that policy was. Not so much the used drm but the always online 24 hr connection. So its good they listened. Now the Xb1 is back on my purchasing list. Their exclusives are crazy. I can now enjoy ryse, titanfall, dead rising 3, and KI offline

*sighs*...yea, they were the "stupid" ones. *SMH*

    I can't even blame M$.

well i sure as hell can. ur exactly right they were idiotic for doing that. That was the only policy preventing me from getting one. Used drm I had no issue with. But as an IT specialist who travels through alot of rural terrain and also likes to take his console with him I'm failing to see how that forced policy would've helped my situation

Exactly, the online check in was the biggest complaint as well as the region support. Now M$ just decided that if you don't want any of our new policies you won't get any at all. Good or bad. Like a kid on a playfield that lost and took his ball and went home so nobody else could play.

i wonder how this will affect all those xbox exclusives that supposedly were gonna thrive off an always-online system. MS really nerfed their exclusives if always online was as important to their system as they say. Expect a loading screen every time you jump into a mech in Titanfall.

Then again they finally adopted blu ray tech so maybe theyll have some room to work with. Hell they might reverse that too in a few months.

I have to agree..... I hope they think about this and add some of those features back... I def was looking forward to not having to keep my disc in the tray... and sharing libraries.

You won't be saying that when even more game developing companies go bust and all your favourite games get cancelled.

The policy wasn't "always online" it was "get online once every 24 hours or no gaming for you". It was the only policy that really bothered me as well. So much so that I wasn't willing to pay $500 for the thing and was going to wait on a price drop or any other way to get it for under $500 before I finally bought one. Now it's not an issue anymore. It kinda sucks cause I didn't mind the sharing policy tbh and I do sympathize with devs but at the same time the trade off will be that I no longer have to leave my XBO at home whenever I travel for months or weeks at a time.

MS isnt confirming that these changes are permanent btw. they could very well reverse and implement them when a few million systems are sold.

I doubt it the cloud is still there for ? like myself who dont live in rabbit holes or tent city or submarines ... I think those who dont have BB internet services are going to be experiencing a souped up Xbox 360... while ? like myself are balling in the cloud.

It's amazing that this happens in every country in the world. We have each probably been that kid at least once growing up too.

I used to be an advocate for hard copies of everything. Now I'm livid I got hundreds of DVDs, CDs, games etc filling up boxes in my house.

I wish they were all on HDD or the cloud.
