lmao and ya'll wanted Obama to surrender to these ? losers. Score another one for SL political analysis......

not only did they not even get a token concession on Obamacare, the "compromise" actually weakened Congress control over the debt limit. HA.

Conservatives are ? furious, hurt, betrayed, confused, depressed, etc. And they want to ? like half of all the Republicans in D.C, including ALL of the leadership - giving the Senate Minority Leader a straight-up bribe in the form of a $3 billion earmark for Kentucky is a ? ice cold chess move that REALLY makes the grassroots crackas feel like they were sold down the river. Have fun with your Tea Party challenger, Mitch!

Meanwhile, everyone on the Left from mainstream corporate democrats to ? anti-capitalist socialists is like START WITH STRAIGHT SHOTS AND THEN POP BOTTLES

that Ether, that ? that makes yo soul burn slow..........

Congrats to Obama and the Dems for winning the fight against Republicans, or should I really say, DELAYING the fight till January lol....either way, I'm not a fan of Republicans so the fight meant nothing to me but Obama's approval ratings are still low, 42% according to Gallup. With ratings like that he will be close to a lame duck, kinda like how Bush was in his last few years.....

With that being said, have you tried Obamacare out yet? I have and I'm kinda surprised at how high the prices are, even with subsidies.....

Might as well party like it's 1999. When in Rome.

I tried applying to it today bro, Obamacare actually kinda sucks. I really was open minded to it and had high hopes for it, but when I saw the prices for it, even with subsidies, my jaw dropped. My coworker makes slightly more then me and his family MONTHLY PREMIUM is more then $800 a month for the gold plan lol.....he barely makes $45k a year. The bronze plan will cost him $600, and that's the cheapest plan he saw.....

I could just be whining but from the prices I saw, there's still gonna be a lot of uninsured people out there. This is not a cheap plan to get into, let me be the first to warn ya'll. Hopefully I just ran into the famous Obamacare glitches going on.......

Things were still murky and confused then and there was great backlash from a black man being elected to office. They jumped the shark this time but going for too much and getting cocky themselves.. those prices.... are not that off. i make about 50k in one year not counting my second job. To cover my whole family (me, wife, son) is about 750 a month. And im sure that a gold package for an extra 50 beans is better than the one I have. Obamacare is mostly for people with no real jobs though. its perfect for freelancers, who dont work enough hours to qualify for an employers coverage. and its definitely cheaper than ? like COBRA, which is the biggest rip off of all time.

A lot of it also depends where in the country you live.

$600 a month was NORMAL for an individual without a family BEFORE Obamacare? I don't think so lol that's close to rent money for most people in this country. I make $36K a year and the best Obamacare plan I see for myself is $159 a month after subsidies, which is the silver plan. The bronze plan for me is $107 after subsidies, but the plan is so garbage I might as well go without health insurance. I understand it's not a fortune I'll be spending but with the cost of living being high in NYC already, Obamacare is DEFINITELY not "the affordable care act". I know people who make way less then me who say with subsidies and their kids, they will be paying MUCH more then what I would be paying.

This is NOT an affordable care act, and I now see why so many people are against Obamacare. I can only imagine how much businesses would have to pay to cover employees if they have 50 or more employees, OH YEAH I forgot, many of those companies are cutting hours and workers now. Better to have single payer then this horrible law. Good thing I'm getting a 2nd work at home job next week.......

A lot of it also depends where in the country you live.

I live in NYC, where even $50 K a year with your own family is not exactly living great, unless your wife has a decent job herself. Being single without kids, I'll probably survive Obamacare but many people are still gonna go without health insurance because they just can't afford it. Even many Democrats have said this. This was not a well thought out law. With all the jobs that are being cut as a result of this law, and the poor among us who can't afford most of the plans I see in healthcare.gov, people are gonna see just how ugly this law really is. Here's an example of what I'm talking about....

    http://crooksandliars.com/susie-madrak/richard-kirsch-how-obamacare-stiffs-w

Richard Kirsch from the Roosevelt Institute untangles the enormous mess that is the Affordable Care Act,
which will not only not remediate the problems of some of the poor who can't afford health care, it will cost them more money -- and still leave them uninsured! Look, there were some improvements in this bill (especially if you're in the middle class) but on the whole, this is going to be an enormous ? for the working poor. Read on:

The debate over fast food chains and their workers is revealing one of the biggest flaws in the Affordable Care Act. Many low-wage workers will be put in a very difficult position: pay a big chunk of their limited wages for health insurance that is costly to use, or pay a fine for the privilege of remaining uninsured. This is an example of how the debate around Obamacare is about to take a huge turn. Instead of partisan opponents fearmongering about the theoretical impact of the law, the new struggle will be around the actual experience of those Americans whom the law was written to protect: people who are uninsured because they can not afford coverage or are locked out of the system because they have a pre-existing health condition.

--We now see why Obama's approval ratings are at 37% and 42% according to the AP and Gallup....

LOL at Republicans and non-conservatives expecting him to "compromise". There was really nothing to "compromise" over. This ? just got away with giving them nothing while Clinton conceded to some of their demands. I can't help but chuckle.

Obama and the Democrats won, while America continues to lose.....only 13% of the nation thinks we're on the right track now. That's close to an all time low. I have the link if you want proof.....why do you think the nation believes it's on the wrong track?

I can understand why people (especially white folks who are feeling the effects of poor government and erosion of public saftey net) think we're on the wrong track. I tend to think we're all ? with capitalism and neo-liberalism, anyway.

However that aside, what do you think that he needed to compromise over in this case?

Well if Obama didn't want to compromise, that's fine only cuz he eventually won out anyway. What he really should have done though was delay the law so all the kinks and problems could be ironed out. There are people who are making ten bucks an hour right now with kids who will have NO WAY to pay the outrageously high prices of Obamacare. My homegirl is (or was) a diehard Obama supporter and she almost cried when she told me she'd have to pay $312 a month for a plan to cover herself and her two kids. She also makes 10 bucks an hour IN NEW YORK. What person making $10 bucks an hour can afford some ? like that? Now imagine the people who are making LESS money then her.

The law should have been delayed a year to give the healthcare.gov site time to get rid of those glitches, and improve the law. The law as it stands right now sucks everything ? you can imagine, no ? .

This law is gona ? so many people out there it's not even funny. A delay is the best thing that can happen right now, cuz America is gonna hit a serious recession or depression if this law stands as it is. It's taking the little money most people have and FORCING them to pay prices they really can't afford. Who is gonna wana spend money on luxuries with this CHAIN hanging around our necks for the rest of our lives? For some people, the difference between being forced to pay for the UNaffordable Care Act and an eviction notice will be this law. Single payer is the way to go and peep my response to Earth2superman

The sad reality is that Black people, throughout history, have been some of the most gullible motherfuckas the world has ever seen. It is very easy to fool another Black person, as long as you are Black or half Black, and can promise a rainbow without rain. Some Blacks like us and Tavis Smiley and Cornel West see Obama for the con artist that he really is, but many other Blacks sadly will continue to fall for traps, hopes and chains just as our ancestors fell for the same traps hundreds of years ago.

Hopefully this will change someday, but for now it's obvious Black people are still as gullible and easy to mislead as ever before. I don't know if Obama is the MOST wicked ? out there lol, but he definitely sold us out to insurance companies and the big banks more then any politician I've seen in a long time

This is how much it cost for people that did not have insurance (could not get job insurance) and had pre-existing conditions like Asthma. The plans were ass and that didn't include the co-pay..

Even more reason why single payer should be fought for and be the law of the land. Obamacare is not affordable for many businesses and the people who are already struggling to make ends meet. People already are not spending enough in this economy and with the albatross known as the UNaffordable Care Act now law, people are going to spend even less money now, and businesses will freeze full time hiring.

I had high hopes for Obamacare, believe me I did. But seeing the outrageous prices on it along with the horror stories has changed my mind.

For anyone living in the NYC area without health insurance, check out 1800-AMG-1027. I hear it's only 89 a month without deductibles. Much more affordable then terribly thought out health care law

Premiums for young healthy people will jump in 45 states under Obamacare

Young people in 45 states will see their health insurance premiums increase under Obamacare because the law relies on the money they pay into the system to offset the cost of caring for older enrollees, according to a new study.

Virginia leads the pack, as individuals aged 27 and under will see their health insurance premiums jump by 252.5 percent -- $416.55 -- according to the Heritage Foundation's Center for Data Analysis.

Virginians under the age of 50 will see their premiums jump by an even greater percentage, rising from $228 to $991.03.

Such increases are not a surprise to the law's architects. “I have always said when looking at this bill, that if I were a young person, I can see elements of this bill that I wouldn't like in the short run,” Henry Aaron, vice chairman of the D.C. health exchange, told the Washington Examiner last November.

TV = the Killer of minds worldwide.

When fools finally understand the shell game that is Obamacare, it will be too late.

Bro 600 hunned and better a month is normally for an a individual without a family before Obamacare. You can still use the health care from your job if you already have it though and they have to step it up and we all know job health plans been wack.. I know mines is but they looking to upgrade. They still got me on as a consultant though. Business will do everything to no pay their employees properly or give them proper health care in the first place..

I would love single payer but let's be real, what we have now is a hell of a lot better then before and it can only get better if we can avoid Republican obstructionism. It would have been better but the writing was on the wall and Blue Dogs weren't playing along so Obama did what had to be done to start somewhere. This is synonymous with states slowly accepting medical marijuana and moving on to full legalization. You have to start somewhere and we were absolutely nowhere beforehand.

All this talk about what has Barack Obama done for black people. Well, what the ? are Republicans Governors in Republican controlled states doing for black people besides restricting voting, putting cities under emergency management, blocking the Medicaid expansion under the Affordable Care Act and preventing thousands of uninsured low-income people from getting healthcare, defunding public education, building prisons, and passing shoot first gun laws like Stand Your Ground? These ? Republican Governors ain't doing ? to improve the plight of black people. All the real political action goes down in the ? states.

    Why he is winning?

70% disapprove of the republican position while only 51% disapprove of Obama. Out of the three entities Republicans, Democrats and the the President, Obama is the most popular and has been assigned the least blame.

    Why should he negotiate?

That same poll shows Obama's approval rating is now at 37%. Democrats will have a hard time winning in 2014 elections with Obama's low ass approval ratings as they stand, and the shutdown has lasted only 8 days. The longer this drags on, the more blame the president and all parties will get. Not negotiating can easily make us go over the cliff and default on our 16 trillion dollar debt. No side is innocent in this but if Obama continues to say he won't negotiate, then we all are gonna suffer if the debt ceiling isn't reached.

Diss Republicans all you want as I'm not a fan of Republicans either, but they won the House in 2010 and held it in 2012, we have to speak to them.

    How did that work out?...
