Its on pace for over $150 this weekened. Thats more than what the original made all together. Granted, the box office inflation, thats still ridiculous.

Watched it opening night. I didn't have much expectations considering that major change they had to adjust to with Paul Walker passing away. But without getting too much into the movie I'd rate all 7 in order as such:
1. Fast & Furious 6 - (9/10)
2. Fast Five - (8.5/10)
3. The Fast and the Furious - (8/10)
4. Fast & Furious - (7/10)
4. Furious 7 - (7/10)
6. The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift - (6.5/10)
7. 2 Fast 2 Furious - (3/10)
Honestly this franchise like the Transformers one has it's own scale because you expect a certain level of cheesy dialogue and unrealistic action sequences. It's an entertaining vice that's enjoyable but isn't really taken seriously.
I fear Furious 7 lacks replay value due to a pretty weak story that mimics parts of the others and while Jason Statham was a decent enough villain it was just really random how he would engage fighting the crew.
Speaking of villains, Djimon Hounsou character was the definition of cliche and so was Kurt Russell nothing noteworthy or original about either of them.
Good point. That's what I couldn't articulate. They use the term "spy" as a catch all. Statham had ? 's Eye before it was on screen because he found the crew all over the ? globe without the slightest hint as to how he found them. Like how the ? did he find them on the mountain road when they needed a plane to get to the road this ? just drove up like, "What's popping?" -
LMAO... but that's exactly what I'm talking about.
-
My thing is, why didn't the hacker chick just DUCK THE ? DOWN IN THE BACKSEAT so her face wouldn't be seen????

Edwin was supposed to redeem himself with an expanded role in 2 Fast 2 Furious, and Rule entered talks with Universal to reprise the character. By that point, in the summer of 2002, he was the biggest rapper on the planet (non-Eminem division).2
But, as happened with Diesel, negotiations crumbled and Rule dropped out of the film. “Me and Vin talked after he turned it down,” Rule told MTV in September 2002. “He hollered at me ’cause they still wanted me to do the film and they bumped up my role as a starring role and everything. And you know, we talked about it. I just felt it wasn’t the best move for me as far as what I want to do in Hollywood right now. I’m really trying to do this acting thing very seriously. And you know, sometimes every move is not the right move.”
There had to be more to this story. I needed to hear it.
After weeks of discussion with Rule’s longtime manager, I set a tentative date and time for an interview. Rule never called, and his manager did not respond to further requests for comment or a statement. In the meantime, I also emailed John Singleton, director of 2 Fast 2 Furious, and one of the straightest shooters in the industry.
I wanted to know: What happened with Ja on 2 Fast 2 Furious?
“Ja got too big for himself. He turned it down. He turned down a half a million dollars,” Singleton said. “He got 15 grand to be in the first movie. He was really big at that time. I guess Murder Inc. was throwing out hits and were making money hand over foot. He was acting like he was too big to be in the sequel. He wouldn’t return calls. I went to the studio to go see him — that’s just my mantra, I deal with a lot of music people. He was kinda playing me to the side and I was like, ‘What? What is this ? ?’ This was all initiated by me. I then made a call. I called Ludacris. I said, ‘Hey, Luda, I haven’t met you before, but I like what you’re doing right now.’ Luda was all humble, excited to meet me. I said, ‘I’m doing this movie and I’m wondering if you want to be a part of it.’ He goes, ‘What? Yeah! Anything you do I want to be a part of.’ That’s how Ludacris got in 2 Fast 2 Furious, and the rest is history.”
Ja Rule became Ludacris. Edwin became Tej. The Fast and the Furious went from potential franchise to the 16th-highest-grossing franchise in history.3 Ludacris would go on to appear in Crash and Hustle & Flow — and three more Fast & Furious films.
“Ja Rule not doing 2 Fast 2 Furious changed Ludacris’s life,” Singleton said. “Years later I saw Ja Rule at the Source Awards and we joked about it. I took him under my arm and said, ‘Man, when I call you, you listen. I ain’t calling you for no ? .’ He said, ‘Yeah, man, I’m sorry about that.’ He apologized. I love Ja. I still think Ja has a lot of personality and can come back in a different way.

Who's sexier and who's the worst actress?
It's not even a question Gina Carano is much hotter than Ronda Rousey. There's actually quite a few MMA ? better looking than Ronda. Carano, Miesha Tate, Paige Van Zant, Kaitlin Curran, Michelle Waterson, Felice Herrig, hell I'd even take Sara McMann over Ronda but maybe that's because she seems super cool while Ronda comes off as an arrogant ? . -
Forgot bout her cute ass

Is this rating system of yours based on all movies in film history or just in the fast and furious universe ?
Because no f/f movie is above a 5/10 let alone a 9 or 8

I saw it yesterday and I thought the story was cool but overall I think FF5 & 6 had the better stories & action. I do believe with the ending of 7 they have send the franchise out on a high note but, I do believe before Paul Walker died in 2013, Universal had signed off another FF trilogy.
-
seeing Paul driving that white Toyota Supra on those BBS rims with the sun in the background ,that was a damn good send off

Paul Walker doesn't make it.

Han and Gal Gadot take major L's for actually dying in the FF universe though. Just about every muthafucka in these has survived, even both Shaws! gotdayum there's not much suspense in the long run

At least Gizelle sacrificed herself knowing she was going to die.
Then again, Dom simp ass jumped across a bridge for Letty and survived. -
Awful movie. I'm not sure where they were going with the plot before Walker died but they should have never finished it. ? was literally all over the place and the heavy emphasis on Walker throughout the film (which is almost comical considering many of his scenes seem obviously incomplete) felt forced. In fact it almost felt like they were insulting the audience's intelligence. We know he's dead no need to make insignificant scenes significant. It was just an awkard movie with some decent moments but I definitely expected better.

dope lil video of some not-so-well-known facts from the movies -
Opening weekend:
$384 million worldwide
$143.6 million domestic -
over the top movie was over the top
with ? getting into car accidents, jumping out of buildings, falling 40 feet and landing on top of cars, having a parking lot collapse on top of you, Paul's bus scene, getting hit in the face, knees, arms with monkey wrenches and shaking it off like its nothing, driving off cliffs, falling into glass tables and not even getting cut, driving out of one skyscraper and flying into another etc., let's be real everybody should've died in this movie
except for mia. she don't really do ?
-
Yeah man this ? was just ? stupid
-
It was what I expected, I thought it was cool, it just needed one location like fast 6. It just seems like they wanted to rush things, but I am happy a diverse cast is doing so well at the box office.
-
In F7 they basically said fck gravity, the laws of physics and human ability when the rock fell on a car out of a window and only had a broken arm lol den Vin gets hit in the face with a metal pipe or sum ? and only has a scratch like ? we all know half ya face should be crushed by that blow.
I was expecting Vin to turn into the terminator at any moment
