It's a good thing we don't take advice from Kanye West here on planet Earth.

I have said that I did not vote, right? But what I did not tell you was ... If I would have voted, I would have voted for Trump, said Kanye West -
There will be no more presidents after trump.
-
Last time he created a platform to say something this insightful, he dropped TLOP. Yeezy season is upon us.
*cuts off all electronic devices, spends paycheck on non perishables, flashlights, batteries and flood survival kit, goes into hibernation for a year* -
Smh. He's thirsty for headlines. Needs attention.
-
I miss the old Kanye (Jay z voice)
-
He should tell Kim to stop worrying about getting robbed people get stuffed in closets everyday
-
How about they stop being racist and stop practicing white supremacy. Once that happens then black people can stop worrying about racism.
-
We out here getting killed with impunity and systematically oppressed daily, and this ? says "Don't worry about it"?
Now this ? talk and think like his oppressor...
SMH -
His comments are actually interesting.
It's easy to just see "I woulda voted Trump." And dismiss it as ? ? .
But it's worth mentioning that he said he didn't vote. Considering all the major black celebs voted including Hov & Beyoncé. Than he basically says I woulda voted Trump cause how he finessed his way into office, revealing all the racist bigots in this country. i didn't necessarily get the idea he likes Trump and what he stands for. I think this is one of those moments where yet again he didn't articulate himself very well. This dude positioning himself to run the same style of campaigning as Trump.
Either way he shouldn't have said anything, classic Ye being Ye. -
2016 has been like One Long ass Parody...

This ? held a plate of ribs for some white man. -
But I do believe we as Black people don't need to be worried though. We need to be active.
In Life we have Worriers and Warriors, and a warrior is not a worrier. -
Ye ? up...and I think this is the best way to describe it
-
Kanye is on the verge of destroying his own legacy. I've been saying this ? for years now.
I'd say we need the ghost of Donda West to straighten his ? ass out, but it may be too late for even that. -
Now this is the ? ? that irks me. Stop crying about racism? ? YOU take your own advice. Wasn't he the one who said "George Bush don't care about black ppl". Didn't he say the white fashion designers don't ? wit him cause he black? Now he want us, the common black folk out here getting slaughtered with impunity, to stop caring about racism. How convenient. Says the ? who spends most his time in Paris and let a white ? play with his ? hole

Welp, no new Kanye anything for me.
-
This "just cuz I voted for trump doesn't mean I'm a racist" rhetoric needs to stop, mf yes it does. That's like a mf going out and supporting the KKK and saying "nah nah I aint racist, I just support their movement" , foh with that ? .

Damn. Kanye was my favorite artist and producer. I can't defend homie anymore
-
but....but....but.....

These types of comments are a prime example of why his music doesnt connect and resonate like it use to, he still makes good music imo, but it lacks the substance because he lacks the day to day experiences that allowed him to make music that connected and had staying power like his older music did.
He has lost most of the commonality he had with black folks and regular folk he no longer has black or average college student issues or problems instead he has rich people issues and problems. Therefore his rants and music speak to a more niche audience these days.
