It was a good apology. My issue is why did it take this long? Why did it take them going after your Mountain Dew money for you to say something? Samething with Ross. He didn't apologize until that Reebok money was about to get taken. I'm against censorship but Emmit Till is a civil rights legend for the symbolism his death represents. Also people bring up the Kanye Emmitt Till line. To me KanYe's line wasn't disrespectful, he was describing himself after an accident looking like Emmitt Till. If anything KanYe's lyrics bring attention to the brutality of what happen to Emmitt where as Wayne's line was a weak punchline. Again I'm glad he apologized but this took way to long. He apologized to a damn Basketball team before he did Emmitt, that was pathetic.

Lil Wayne issued an apology this week for his controversial reference to Emmitt Till in Future's "Karate Chop (Remix)." Now the Till family has responded, and it seems they are not satisfied. The full text of the response is quoted below.

We are aware of Lil Wayne’s statement of acknowledgement of our family’s pain and our disapproval of referencing Emmett Till in his lyrical content.
While it’s commendable that he has vowed to respect the legacy of Emmett Till and his memory to ‘not use or reference Emmett Till or the Till family in his music’, this statement falls short of an apology, as none is mentioned.
