I still think they made IT look too scary and unapproachable so it already kinda kills it a little bit for me. But maybe it's just the ? in me that ain't approaching no damn clown regardless.
I'm still seeing this tho cuz it looks good -
Nah son, 27 years
-
One afternoon towards the end of summer Henry and his gang initiate a rock fight with the Losers in the Barrens. The bullies are left defeated and embarrassed - an injured Henry swears revenge on the Losers before departing. After further encounters with It in the form of Pennywise and various other manifestations, the Losers construct a makeshift American-Indian smokehole which Richie and Mike use to hallucinate It's origins. In doing so they discover that It came to Derry millions of years before in an asteroid-like impact, and that every 27 years It awakens from a slumber underneath the town's sewers, usually after some kind of terrible event or tragedy, to feed on children for a period of 12–16 months.
I cant remember the movie, but i swear they said 27 years too. Ill have to rewatch it before the new movie -

a new shot or two here
with this movie being rated r i cant help but wonder just how bad is georgie about to get murdered
will they cut away on a scream
will they have some element of gore
i suspect its going to be bad
gotta set the tone
im not sure if this is a spoiler but i'll put it just in case
its about something that happens in the book that could possibly be made into a scenethere a scene in the book where pennywise shoves a toddlers head into a toilet and laughs maniacally while drowning them — that scene could really bring home how truly awful IT is but i would bet every last packet of top ramen seasoning i got saved up they wont go there because complaining about everything is this generations form of revolution
this is a rumor i heard about the moviegeorgie is missing rather than dead
now its still possible they show him get ripped up AND pulled into the sewer drains
where we the audience will know hes dead
but the townspeople wont have a body to confirm so hes classified as missing
i dont know though -
VR is too much for a movie lol. Might be cool, but i would find it too distracting.
I hear now they got "4D" theaters that add tilting seats and fans for wind and even add scents to the seat in front of you to make you feel like your in the movie lol. Just show the damn movie imo. -
They do 4d for a lot of movies

His look in the book is scary he's a demonic entity they are actually following it closer than the OG series did. -
His look changes in the book. When Georgie first meets him he looks very friendly and non threatening but once Georgie reaches for the boat that's when pennywise changes

Reviews have been coming in and they have been VERY positive.

word
the social media embargo was lifted and film critics are loving this movie (full reviews remain under embargo until closer to ITs release)
i think i have only read one negative one so far

my favorite one says that this feels like an 80s fantasy/horror film and compares it to a nightmare on elm street
that is exactly what i miss about horror nowadays and its good to hear that the losers are all great in this — how close they are and how much fun they have hanging out together is one of the elements that make the book so great — its also good to read that there is some humor in this — kings novels have bits of humor to them (i just hope they dont overdo it)
oh
hell
yeah -
Absolutely ? NOT
sounds like a perfect opportunity for a crazed gunman to shoot up a theater while covering his identity

ive played this too many times already
you get to hear pennywise laugh -
Already took the day off of work. Im gonna go take my mom and little brothers to go see this ? haha. She let me watch the original when i was 5 and it ? me up for years. I showed my little bro's the movie when they were 10 and they tried to play it off like it wasnt scary, but i could see the look of fear in their eyes. They are 14 now, but hopefully this is good enough to ? them up a little bit.

ran across this yesterday
odd unedited bits of behind the scenes stuff and an interview with king
seems like intended for a future disc release or something
some of it could be considered spoliery

LOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOLLLLLLLLL ok so I wasnt tripping out I seen it on Bay street in the heart of the financial district & thought I was TRIPPIN. It dawned on me I knew it from somewhere but my mind was pacing to get home so I didnt even put 2 & 2 together.
its a good promotional stunt especially since the film was mostly filmed not too far from toronto
