Remember our discussions regarding Hillary's electability versus that of Sanders?

If Hillary swept Sanders for BOTH the popular and delegate vote it wouldn't have mattered. Bernie would have been killed too. They both underestimated Trump. I think everyone prior to the general election believed anyone could have beaten Trump. The swing states got Trump the win. Despite Hillary getting the popular vote :( .

Disagree completely...clinton got sanders in either liberal states dems were going to win anyway (ny, ca, nv) or southern states that were gonna never vote dem (sc, ga)...states like michigan and wisconsin with strong progressive ties and a populist message wouldve never flipped trumps way if sanders wouldve been the nominee...

More importantly...he has the force of personality to match trump...his rallies were just as huge and for him being out of the spotlight for his whole career...he built up a major tv and internet presence...And thats without the major negatives of trump or clinton...sure he had flaws but it couldve been corrected as he inched toward the middle...

The bareknuckle politics of 20 years did the dems in...lobbyists, unions, black elites, and washington bureacrats rallied around a candidate who imo never really had a great chance to win

They were almost fighting their way out of dad-shoe status but that's over now

The point of all this still alludes you my friend.

Bernie would have solidified every state Hillary won while also capturing:

1.) the independents turned off by Hillary
2.) The men AND women the refused to vote for a woman (as dispacable as they are).
    3.) The populous vote.

She lost those swings states incrementally. Sanders would have captured more of those swing voters in those swing states.

Essentially... there's nobody that voted Hillary that would have chose Trump over Sanders but you have plenty of independents who would have chose Sanders over Trump but weren't swinging for Hillary.

Steve Kerr and Stan Van Gundy on Trump...

“I understand problems with the economy. I understand all the problems with Hillary Clinton, I do. But certain things in our country should disqualify you. And the fact that millions and millions of Americans don’t think that racism and sexism disqualifies you to be our leader, in our country ... . We presume to tell other countries about human-rights abuses and everything else. We better never do that again, when our leaders talk to China or anybody else about human-rights abuses.

“We just elected an openly, brazen misogynist leader and we should keep our mouths shut and realize that we need to be learning maybe from the rest of the world, because we don’t got anything to teach anybody.

“It’s embarrassing. I have been ashamed of a lot of things that have happened in this country, but I can’t say I’ve ever been ashamed of our country until today. Until today. We all have to find our way to move forward, but that was -- and I’m not even trying to make a political statement. To me, that’s beyond politics.

“You don’t get to come out and talk about people like that, and then lead our country and have millions of Americans embrace you. I’m having a hard time being with people. I’m going to walk into this arena tonight and realize that -- especially in this state -- most of these people voted for the guy. Like, (expletive), I don’t have any respect for that. I don’t.

“And then you read how he was embraced by conservative Christians. Evangelical Christians. I’m not a religious guy, but what the hell Bible are they reading? I’m dead serious. What Bible are you reading? And you’re supposed to be — it’s different. There are a lot of different groups we can be upset at. But you’re Christians. You’re supposed to be — at least you pride yourself on being the moral compass of our society. And you said, ‘Yeah, the guy can talk about women like that. I’m fine with that.’ He can disparage every ethnic group, and I’m fine with that.
